For cool factor, you can’t do better than this unisex scent from NY-based BLK DNM. Created by BLK DNM founder Johan Lindeberg, a fashion industry force, the unconventional blend is as edgy as the brand’s fashions. It’s a spicy blend of musk and black pepper that will set you apart.
It's got a spicy and sexy smell, but I don't think it's for me. Just a bit too musky for my taste.3
It took me a while to figure out what this reminded me of, and it was familiar and not completely unpleasant but also not great when I first put it on. Then I realized it smells like holy oil for anointing from church. It's not a bad smell, it's just not a smell I want to wear. Especially because it didn't wear well on me. Also, ridiculously expensive...2
While I absolutely adore unisex scents, this one's just not my style. It's very spicey hot, like pepper and it's such a unique scent that I would have no problem recommending it for those who are into that type of scent, but it's definitely not for me. I gave the sample to my son and he loves it. Makes him feel like a manly man. :D2
The notes listed on the Birchbox site made this sound pretty interesting. Unfortunately, on my skin for the first two hours, this smelled like the inside of a cedar chest-- very much not in a good way. Four hours later, the scent has mostly faded, and what remains is actually kind of nice-- woody, with a hints of creaminess. However, I'd rather not spend that long with a scent that I don't enjoy to have it get to a stage that it is a little bit nice. This is definitely a very masculine scent, and I think someone would have to have rather different chemistry from mine-- or, perhaps, a certain attitude-- to pull this off successfully.1
It's a little too spicey for me. I usually like the way spicey scents smell on me, but this was just too masculine.2
This is not my style of scent, as I like more floral scents but would be perfect for someone who loves spicy scents4
I was surprised by how much I liked this scent. I rarely wear fragrances but if I did, I would consider this one because it's not overpowering. I also liked that it isn't a generic category scent.4
The perfume was very musky, almost a masculine sent. On me I noticed a spicy, sandalwood sent, kind of like incense. It wasn't for me but I'm sure that there are people out there who could pull it off.2
I love this scent - May have to cheat on my Atelier and buy this too!!!!5
too spicy smelling for me or my husband. Not our cup of tea.2
