Whether you’re washing a Jag or shining your shoes, there’s something quite appealing about the ritual of maintenance. That was the thought behind this classic styling wax: A natural blend of ingredients in a portable, pocket-sized tube. Keep it in your jeans—next to your keys and corn-cob pipe—and your Teddy-Roosevelt ‘stache will stay crisp throughout the day.
Made the mistake of purchasing this. Long story short: just don't. And, you'll be very glad you didn't. The best thing to do is leave it alone.2
Got this for my best friend for the holidays. He absolutely loves it and uses it everyday! Perfect to throw in his pocket, and he hasn't complained yet!4
I bought this for my husband because he gets dry patches under his facial hair in a few places. he says it's only okay because it isn't more moisturizing, it's more of a protective barrier against the elements. He does like it though and it did help. He just liked putting a better moisturizer on first everywhere, then using this like a balm to put over particularly dry patches to seal things in even more. Scent was nice and refreshing. [tea tree]3
Bought this for my husbands stocking, only wish more of the scents were available. Def a great bargain and idea for those with beards.5
I got this for my boyfriend who decided he wanted to start curling his moustache. It works pretty well but after a couple of hours his moustache will start to droop. A little re-application and it's good to go again though.4
In writing this review, it is really two reviews in one. One for the product, one for the product packaging which in this case is also very important.
Most mustache wax comes in a small tin, this does not. This is more of an oval 'lip balm' type container which is PERFECT, you can graze over the top, ends and under your mustache quickly and easily without making a mess of your hands.
The wax is good with a nice hold and a low shine. Any weather in the mid 90's and you are going to get some melt and a loss of hold, but that is pretty standard as my bearded friends know too well.
For scents the Tea Tree and Tree Ranger are both good... the Spiced Citrus is my favorite, it is just excellent. I cannot recommend the "Four Vices" scent, it smells too much like cigarettes to me.
All in all, the folks over at Beardbrand know their stuff, 5 stars all around.
Nice pleasant scent and easy to work with, however I have one of those mustaches that takes a stronger, stiffer wax to achieve the desired result. This one is great for touch ups and for fly away hairs. Slips in the pocket and is always ready to use.4
