MicrodermaMitt®'s exfoliating face mitt gives you results that are comparable to clinical microdermabrasion, minus any redness and sensitivity. It purges your pores of pent-up gunk and whisks away dead skin cells—you won't even need a separate cleanser or scrub. With regular use, your skin will look visibly smoother, and your lines, scars, and sun spots will be less noticeable.
After reading the glowing reviews, I had to give this product a try myself. I have been using this for several weeks now, but in have seen no changes in my skin at all. I think I could have used a lightweight canvas material which would have been far less expensive.1
Sure, it works, It's a scrubby bag you put on your hand then rub your face with. It works, but I just don't really see the point. Too easy for someone to actually hurt their skin with it if they do not know what they are doing.1
This is a glorified washcloth that is sewn to fit your hand. I don't understand the appeal of it at all.2
I tried it but did not think it was anything special. The fact that you were suposed to use it with only water added one more step to my facial routine. I prefer my regular washcloth and facial soap!2
I feel like my face isn't clean without using a cleanser with this product2
It was definitely too rough for my skin. I have really sensative skin and this was too much. I have been using it as a body mitt though.2
I was super excited when I saw this in my box. It seemed like a really cool, and innovative product. I tried it out last night in my shower and felt like it was more harsh than my other scrubs and microdermabrasion cream, but my skin is pretty tough so I thought it might be okay.. I applied my toner and moisturizer afterwards and my face burned really bad. The next morning I had a ton of little bumps and breakouts on all over my face. It's the worst reaction I've ever had with a product. Is this how it's supposed to work at first or is it way too harsh for me? Microdermamitt website wasn't any help. I will probably use it on my body instead.2
Initially I was unsure if this was worthwhile since the directions recommended that you remove all makeup before using. I was somewhat disappointed because I thought it was supposed to be a makeup remover but decided to try it anyway and it does exfoliate really well and very gently. Not sure yet if I will repurchase but will definitely continue to use.3
This little mitt felt nice on my skin, and did remove my makeup without any cleanser other than water. However, I wouldn't recommend it for days when you're wearing lots of eye makeup/mascara. The washing instructions are simply to use hand soap after each use, but one side of my mitt looks like I used it to mop up an engine block. My skin may be nice and clean, but the mitt itself sure isn't.3
Yes it does seem to exfoliate well, but it doesn't seem to really unclog pores, even after several uses and I doubt how well it actually stimulates collagen.
Additionally you are NOT supposed to use soap with this product, which is a minus in my opinion.
