The good news is that the practical, ergonomic backpack is more acceptable than ever in a formal work setting. The bad news is that your frayed, 90s-era JanSport just won’t cut it. Compact enough for a laptop and big enough for a weekend away, this lightweight, 100 percent recycled canvas pack is the ideal upgrade.
I got this as a bag to carry my basics to school in, and it the the perfect size! I got it in pink, and it is similar to much pricer bags I've seen at the mall, but just as cute (if note cuter!). My one complaint is that the tag says some dye may rub off on you, I wish that had been mentioned on the site, as now I am a little worried to wear it with light clothing.
4I've had my eye on this backpack for a long time, and I've finally got around to ordering it. It arrived in the mail today and I immediately noticed how big it is! I'm happy about this, because I intend to use it as my "purse" and as my school bag. I don't think the pictures on BB's website do the bag justice. (Yeah, I lovingly refer to Birchbox as BB.) I think I've been holding-off on ordering it because I reasoned that for 20 bucks, surely the bag will be on the smaller size. Wrong. And like I said, I'm happy about that. Another note is that the material is very sturdy cotton canvas. It seems tough and I imagine the bag will last for a long time. I tossed it into the washing machine immediately with hopes of loosening up some of the stiffness and with hopes of fading some of the color. I -had- to get it in Hot Pink, because I waited so long to order; the better colors sold out. I hope BB restocks, because I will order another one in a more..... grad school appropriate hue.
4The backpack is a lot bigger than I anticipated. I thought it was going to be one of those mini backpacks. It is a pretty good size. Can def fit a gallon of milk in it with a little extra room. The color is def Neon Pink. In the pictures Ive seen, the backpack doesn't look like its very neon, but I can ensure you that it is neon pink. The fabric is a little stiff but I am sure after use it will loosen up.
Closing the opening at the top of the bag is a little rough, because the fabric is so stiff, it makes it very hard to pull the string to close the opening. It just needs to be broken in.
Overall I wasn't expecting to like it very much but I actually love it. I got this one because I needed a backpack. My boyfriend is using my other one. I used my points to get this one.
I'd been looking for a basic backpack for a while. it seems like everything out there is either super "busy" with pockets and buckles and colors, etc or is a "mini" backpack. I just wants a decent sized but plain backpack - this is it!
Its not super huge, but big enough I can fit my large laptop in it, along with an accordion file. The canvas is sturdy enough its cool to use it almost empty too with just some papers and my wallet and phone. I find the two pockets - the zip up on the outside and slit pocket inside are really just the right sizes and very handy.
My one complaint is the shoulder straps - they are rather uncomfortable and I would prefer some padding or even if they were just wider - when the bag is full (2-3 books for example) the straps kind of dig in.
