Forget doing an in-depth sartorial study of Wes Anderson or Ryan Gosling—giving your wardrobe a little flair is a lot easier than you might think. All you have to do is flash some color where it’s least expected. Richer Poorer’s eye-catching socks take any hum-drum get-up up a notch with bright patterns and colors.
I was so excited to try these socks. My box came with 2 pair inside. I went to wear them and they do not stretch at all. I could not get the sock over my foot. I wear a size 13 and am of average weight. The socks would not even stretch to get to my heel. Both pair were sent to good will.
There's nothing special about these socks. The designs are ones that I could've found in any other department store.
These are solid socks, but no better than ones you can get for half the price for other brands. Additionally, I think birchbox sent me the two ugliest ones available of all the choices in terrible colors (yellow and burgundy), so they are of little use to me.
Additionally, they run a little small. I am a size 12 shoe and they definitely do not fit.
I've moved on to wool socks, that keep your feet warm or cool, and always dry.Wool socks are amazing. Anyway, I can't really wear socks that are less then 83% cotton or my feet get stinky. And these fit my feet strangely. They are pretty socks, though.
Hubby is outdoorsy (as stated in profile) and does not have any use for these. It was a waste of 2 items in the box as there were 2 pair.
I was so excited when these cam in my box because I was leaving on a trip the next day. They earned a coveted spot in my suitcase and ended up being horrible! They fit poorly on my size 13 foot and squeezed my calf/ankle (which is average circumference). They were not good for the city walking we did on our trip and I only wore them once. Maybe they would work well for somebody with tiny feet and stick legs. I am planning on giving them to my wife.
I received the sock in my monthly box, I really like them at first the patterns were great and the material was decently thick as most socks like these tend to be very thin!! But I washed and dryed them and they shrunk up soon much to almost a girl size sock, good product if you intend on air drying them.
But I can't. The pattern is exactly what was shown. They're very nice looking. The problem is that they are almost completely inelastic. I can hear tearing when I put them on. It's very difficult to get them over my heal and I can feel threads not stretching across the bottom of my foot. Very strange and almost like nobody QA'd then at all.
Definitely won't be buying another pair and will probably ditch these.
They are on the thinner side for socks. These are the right socks for the right person. I dress a little more conservative and wear ankle length socks so these weren't really for me.
I was not impressed by these socks at all. Might have worn them if they were more men like. Quality seemed good though, they weren't real thin.
