Forget doing an in-depth sartorial study of Wes Anderson or Ryan Gosling—giving your wardrobe a little flair is a lot easier than you might think. All you have to do is flash some color where it’s least expected. Richer Poorer’s eye-catching socks take any hum-drum get-up up a notch with bright patterns and colors.
These socks are ugly. And thin, very cheap feeling. I work as a mechanic on my feet all day. What kind of man wants flashy socks and to roll up his pants to show them off? Not for me.1
While a nice way to add a bit of color, they don't work for everyone. I guess anyone outside the 6-12 size range will need to look elsewhere for socks. Disappointed that a size dependent item would be in the first Men's Birchbox and not sure if I want to continue my subscription when these are too small for both my husband and teenage son. Maybe Birchbox should ask about sizing before including such items, especially given that the men's box cost twice what the women's box does.1
I enjoyed the two pairs sent to me in my birchbox, perhaps just a tad bit too much it would seem. After only a few months of moderate wear (2-3 times a month for each pair) the sock started to have holes in them. Otherwise they were comfortable in both fit and the feel of the material and enjoyable to wear for the designs.2
I love the different colors offered, but I got a pair of ugly socks. I would buy a pair in the future if they were a different color and design.2
Like the look and variety of the socks, but a bit too snug to get on and off of the feet. Not enough stretch in the fabric.2
I received two pairs of these socks in my box. Both look great. The one with bright stripes was pretty thin. I could see my toes through the fabric. I would expect that with some dress socks but for a pair of cotton socks I would hope they would be more durable. Made me wonder how many washings they'll survive. The other had intricate patterns. Again, nice to look at, but the patterns on the outside meant lots of weaved thick threading inside the sock which easily gets tangled in toes.2
I thought these were really cool socks when I got them. They fit well and were pretty comfy for dress socks. Then I washed them (Warm/cold) and dried them on low. Now they're great socks....for my girlfriend. They shrunk to about 1/2 the size!
I wash and dry my other dress socks like this all the time without issue, so I'm not sure why these turned into shrinky-dinks.
Colors were awful and the fit was bad. I wouldnt buy them.2
The colors are good. Bright socks are in. The texture is so-so. I'm worried about long-term durability with these, but hey no socks last forever.2
These socks were alright, but for me they don't work well. Thin socks like this actually make my feet sweat a lot. The green and blue ones were pretty cool, but I'm definitely not fond of the orange and purple ones. Was shocked to get 2 pairs though.2
