With everything we do to our hair—the constant coloring, the blow-drying, the chemical straightening—there are times we think we should just put it out of its misery with a drastic chop. But this restorative shampoo lets us give our strands a new lease on life (without having to regrow them from a pixie cut). This formula is handmade in Texas, and based around ingredients grown in the state: aloe vera to hydrate and soften hair, sunflower seed oil to protect from heat, and rose of Jericho to perk up tired strands. UV filters keep color from fading. What's more, it's without phosphates (so its safe for keratin-treated hair) or sulfates (so its perfect for color-treated 'dos too)—meaning we can keep on enjoying the look we dyed and fried our hair for in the first place.
the smell is great and it works beautifully. the only thing I'd say (if you're using it on kids' hair) is that because it lacks all the chemicals, it leaves a soap scum ring around the tub. But that is NO EXCUSE not to buy it!
The shampoo is has a harsh, chemical smell, and if you get it in your eyes, you will sure know it. Too many great hair products out there to mess with this one.1
This shampoo is wonderful. At first, I was timid to try because of the strong scent, but you get used to it. After you've dried your hair the smell is very minimal and not overpowering.4
The smell reminds me of hippies and it leaves a gross grease feeling to my hair after I have jumped out of the shower and blow dried my hair (with no product in it).1
i love this wash. the scent is so fresh and clean and different then what i am used too! It reminds me of what they use at the salon. this was definitely saved my hair !5
I gave this to my mom to try and she said that it wasn't that bad, but she had to add more product to her hair because she has a lot of hair.1
The smell was wonderful. I love the packaging and the ingredients. But it was a little too expensive for a body wash! Still, I'm glad I got to try it.3
I love the smell of the product and how it made my hair feel afterwards. I highly recommend this product.5
I disagree with any reviewer that says this shampoo smells like chemicals. It has a really nice essential oil smell -- if you want to call it "hippie," sure. Initially I really like this shampoo. I got it with the conditioner for the scent and the ingredients. But, it's on the liquidy side so I've been trying to figure out how much to use, because on day 2, my hair does not look great. It seems like a good shampoo for someone who washes their hair daily, but for someone who washes every 3+ days, it's not really working out for me. I still really like their Volumizing spray, though.4
I really wanted to like this product since it is made in Texas, but it just did no favors for my hair. Aside from the smell being unpleasant, it gave my fine hair a weird texture.1
