We desperately try to adhere to the less-is-more philosophy, and Dr. Jart’s Water Fuse Beauty Balm helps us minimize our routine. A moisturizer, sunscreen, and treatment serum all-in-one, this tinted BB cream even helps hide imperfections. Think of it as the Swiss Army Knife of your grooming cabinet.
I was really impressed with this BB cream and am definitely buying the full size. I like that it was thin and applied nicely to my face after applying my moisturizer. I would wear this with nothing underneath but my skin tends to dry out without a solid moisturizer. I've had no problems with it separating and doesn't show lines. The color was perfect for my skin and I often use this as my foundation.5
I love the product, it does protect and moisturize my skin, excellent! The only downfall is the color, it is like a beige tone and I am a golden honey warm color, but that's not problem at all. I do mix it with my liquid foundation and I get a foundation that actually protects my skin. Win win!4
I had a bad experience with BB creams being to thin and running so I was happy to receive this one. It had a nice consistency and I ended up ordering the full sized bottle.5
This product was too thick and light colored for my skin color. I was unable to wear it, as I prefer the natural look.
Lots of chemicals in the ingredients as well. I guess I need only CC creams, not the BB cream for younger skin types.
When I received my first sample of this I adored it.I ordered the full size & began to question my choice .I discovered this works best with a little clear primer & smaller amounts of this balm.I use it as a foundation .It has light even coverage & a little bit of illumination. It does not seem to settle in the creases & I am happy with the SPF aspect.I think it probably works best with fair skin.5
I loved this BB cream when I first bought it, but I quickly found it would separate. It depends on what you have on underneath, but I think the formula must be unstable. It will interact with your moisturizer and become an oil slick or hard to absorb. Other times if I didn't wear anything underneath it seemed fine. I'm not sure if something was wrong with mine, but I definitely did not keep it. The color and coverage was pretty good. Just be careful what you wear underneath it.3
I love that this is an all-in-one solution without the heaviness of foundation. It provides sun protection and moisturizes while also smoothing out imperfections. Can't praise enough.5
I fell in love with this BB Cream after getting it in my monthly box. I tried to find a drug store/grocery store equivalent. It didn't happen. This product is far superior and well worth the price. A little bit goes a long way and it works well with fair skin. I will continue to spend a little bit more than I would normally for the great result!5
I understand that BB creams are supposed to be light, sheer, and basically for when you don't feel like putting much makeup on, but I want to still feel like there's a purpose/benefit to the makeup I'm putting on. You have to use concealer if you have any blemishes. Only comes in one tone, and it has a grey-ish look after applying. I didn't find this any more hydrating than other products I've used, even between all the other BB's by this brand (also, if you compare the active ingredients between all Dr Jart's BB's, they've virtually the same and most have to do with sunscreen).2
I purchased this for my mother as a gift last year and she absolutely loves it! She called me to say please order me another one of those Beauty Balms from Birchbox, that stuff is awesome! She loves the way it makes her skin feel!5
