This is a fingernail clipper befitting a lumberjack or NFL lineman. Made of Japanese stainless steel and featuring a full-body rubber bumper for improved grip, it takes all the daintiness out of the mandatory trimming ritual.
Got this for the husband, as his nails are thick and, well... Gnarly. This baby cut through both toenails and fingernails with ease. I do think that the clippers work best on toes without the guard, as it doesn't allow you to cut from all angles with the guard attached. Also, when you are cleaning the clippings out of the guard, do it over the trash can, as it will spill everywhere. Overall, very pleased with the sharpness. Lost a star because the grip inhibits toenail clipping.4
The clippers themselves are really high quality, but the bumper seriously impedes your ability to clip. Luckily it's removable, but I'd rather have a nail file attached to the clippers than have the bumper.4
It's not the cutest design from tweezerman, but it's strong and sturdy. Works for both hands and feet which is good too!4
...but hard to use. The form factor feels great, but getting the clipping blades under the nails can be strangely difficult. Also, the clippers collect the cut off nails and they quickly jam up the blades. So you have to tap them out frequently.3
Very strong and sturdy, but the clip 'storage' is very small, and due to the shape of the product, it can be hard to maneuver. Overall, it's good, just not worth $20.3
While the clippers are some of the sharpest I have ever used, the shape is slightly difficult to get all the way around the nail. The functionality in clipping itself is rather nice however the "trap" or clipping compartment is small and can only hold about a hand worth of clippings before needing to be emptied.3
Because of the shape of these clippers it is difficult to move around the nail. They are nice and sharp though.3
