Earbuds tend to go into pockets and bags neatly folded, yet come out an impossibly tangled mess. This durable little contraption allows you to wrap your headphones vertically so they're neater and flatter in your pocket. A totally sweet and unexpected extra: when not housing your earbud cords, the Wrapster works as a stand for your iPhone in landscape mode.
The Quirky Wrapster is a great idea but falls short on execution. The design does not function with headphones that include a microphone (iPhone headphones in this case). It also lacks a mechanism to keep the end of the cord in place, allowing the headphones to unravel easily in a bag or pocket.3
The idea is great and I was excited to have the headphone wrap when I saw it, but it is flawed. I have iPhone headphones that a include music and phone control portion, and the length of the wrap is such that the control is always wrapped over an edge. This means the cord needs to wrapped loosely which defeats the purpose of the product.3
These like the other Quirky products are made of a heavy duty rubber. They do exactly what they state they will as well as hold a phone up to watch. That was a fun little advantage! Have yet to try it out in my pocket, but for at home it definitely does the job.3
The product is pretty cool, it accomplishes the cord management problem that EVERYONE has with headphones. I just don't know what wrapping my headphone cord around it means for the headphone cord itself. Its a pretty dramatic bend that has to be done to wrap the cord around, I don't know if prolonged use would damage the headphone or if isn't a problem at all.
Quirky sounds like an awesome product platform though - a great way for innovations to reach the market. High-Five there!
I think it is still not perfect. Very, close but just not there. It needs to be smaller and have somewhere to clip the plug to it.3
I like to use this as an iPhone stand as opposed to a headphones holder.3
This would be ideal for my gym bag, normally I wouldn't use headphones unless at the gym or traveling. So I think as time goes on I will become more and more thankful for this item, until then it's not being used.3
I haven't decided yet if I will use or buy this but I will recommend.3
I like the concept of this product and I will certainly use it, I'm still on the fence about if I find it valuable enough that I would have bought it on my own though. It's certainly nice to not have to untangle my ear buds, however now instead of untangling them, I have to wrap them. So I'm still spending the same amount of time, just doing something different.3
I received this in my July box and was disappointed in its complete useless. I do not have an i-product and my headphones have a slightly thicker, less ductile, cable. Not only can I not use the product in the manor depicted on the packaging, but when I try to coil the earbuds around it in any way i realize I'd be better off with a section of cardboard.3
