Mixing and matching skincare products can be a risky venture: pair the wrong ingredients together, and you can end up with red, irritated skin. Luckily, this troubleshooting kit from Suki takes the guesswork out of your daily regimen. Great for acne-prone or finicky combination skin types, each kit comes with travel-size versions of Suki’s Exfoliate Foaming Cleanser, Concentrated Balancing Toner, Balancing Day Lotion, Pure Facial Moisture, and Transformative Cleansing Clay. A Birchbox exclusive!
I love this whole care regime, and I will likely be buying several, if not all, of the products in full size. But, one reason I am rating it down a star is that the sample sizes are uneven. I have maybe one or two washes left of the Transformative Cleansing Clay, but much more of all the other samples. And since the Transformative Cleansing Clay is supposed to play triple duty as a daily cleanser, masque and overnight spot treatment, it seems illogical that it would be the smallest sample. I was also miffed that the package doesn't include any instructions on the order/frequency to use the products -- I had to spend a while googling around to find it hidden within the FAQs on the Suki site. But with instructions and a more reasonable Cleansing Clay sample, this would have been 5 stars.4
Every product in this kit is a hit. I ended up buying the full size versions. Everything is great and non-irritating. I have sensitve, reactive skin, and this has really improved my complextion.5
The smell is amazing. In my opinion the scrub is the best part of the entire line. I didn't notice any change with my adult acne.3
I love Suki's products and I thought the products in this kit were TOO SMALL. Too much money for such small samples.. Maybe instead of calling it a trial kit it should have been called a sample kit. but too much money for what was in it.2
I loved this sampler set. While it's true that the kit doesn't come with instructions, it's pretty much common sense. Use the cleanser to cleanse your skin with. Use the day lotion in the morning as your moisturizer. There's nothing difficult or 'exotic' about it. Everything works great and this is a great way to try out all the products. Since they are on the pricey size, this is a great way to figure out what products you really love and need. The cleanser is definitely my favorite. All of these products seem to last forever because you hardly need any. For the cleanser, I only need maybe a pea sized amount, and for the moisturizer, maybe the size of a dime.5
I tried this set and really liked the clay mask, the Balancing Day Lotion and the sugar scrub. One plus is that the travel sizes are refillable! I've purchased the full size products and use this set in my travel bag. Win-win!4
I have horrible breakouts! My skin at 36 is worse now than when I was 13. I have spent hundreds on different products to help. For the 30 days I used this, I didn't have one breakout.5
I really like the kit. My favorite in the face scrub. The other products don't smell quite as good as the scrub but they're pleasant. When used together my oily skin seemed to even out. But you can't miss a day or the oil comes right back.4
Fell in love with Suki after receiving in my box. It's gentle and effective leaving my skin feeling fresh and clean! And the white travel case is a cute bonus!
Only downside is the kit doesn't come with instructions. I wasn't sure the order to use the products, how long to keep the clay on, when to use the facial moisture...and so on.
A few have brief instructions on the side, but not much help. Luckily, Suki's website has instructions which are more helpful.
I really do love the SUKI products--they are all-natural and skin friendly. I've been very impressed with their moisturizing properties that have treated my skin without aggravating acne or sensitivity. My only hesitation with giving 5 stars is that the sample pack is truly a sample pack. I felt the price point was a big high for some of the very small samples. Also, I would've appreciated a directions sheet enclosed as some of the products did not have directions for usage listed on their labels.4
