Now that you're grown up, sugary cereal is a no-no. Sugary face cleanser, on the other hand, gets a resounding yes. Infused with lemongrass and chamomile, this cleanser gets rid of dirt and oil while gently exfoliating layers of skin with nonabrasive sugar. (The alpha hydroxy acids in raw sugar gently buff away dead layers and excess oils without stripping your skin of its natural moisture.) You'll immediately notice how refreshed your skin feels, not to mention how good the clean, subtle scent of zesty lemon smells. Unlike Lucky Charms, this sweet stuff is good for you.
Starting off, this looks like a sugar scrub. I didn't expect this to foam up as much as it did--holy mackrel, the second you add water (you apply the product to dry skin first), the suds appear almost magically. There is a potent lemon smell, which leans a little too close to synthetic lemon bathroom cleaner for my taste, but I'm picky about scents. Overall, my skin felt very clean, though a touch dry (maybe best for oily skin types). It felt a teensy bit gimmicky for me, but I imagine a lot of ladies might like it, especially those who want an all-in-one formula that could probably take off some serious make-up (I don't wear foundation, myself).4
Good product. Clean lemon scent. I like that it provides a lather when wet and applied to skin. Would prefer to use it all over the body.5
This is a nice product and I like the texture. But it has left my skin feeling dry after I have used it so don't think I will use the rest of the sample.3
This product is great. The smell is not to over powering, you can smell a citrus scent to it. I actually enjoyed the grittiness of the product and can already tell a difference in my skin.5
This product smells great (I love anything lemony) and works like a charm! I have never tried anything like this before (a facial scrub that transforms into a foamy wash), but I am really impressed! The granulation is also very hearty (bigger than Vasanti's for instance), which is what I prefer. Definitely buying this product! My October box was awesome!5
In the jar, this product looks strange, but I enjoyed using it. It smells all right and leaves skin feeling clean. Might not buy it again, though.3
This is a very yummy smelling exfoliator. a tiny amount does a fantastic job of polishing your skin without drying it in the slightest. I think this would be safe to use daily even for people with dryer skin, like myself.4
I. Love. This. I LOVE IT. Oh, dear, I got excited. :) What a wonderfully smelling, gentle exfoliating cleanser! It looks and smells like a sugary confection that you could eat, and feels gentle on your skin. I am not a huge fan of fragrances in my skin care products, but I am absolutely in love with this cleanser. It's sweet without being sickly-sweet and it is, seriously, yummy. Plus it made my skin gorgeous!5
This is one of the best exfoliaters I have ever used! It smells amazing and really wakes me up in the morning, and it makes my skin feel so soft! A little goes a long way! I will definitely be purchasing when this runs out.5
I loved the actual use of this product--the beads (crystals? whatever you want to call them) exfoliated my face, and then dissolved into a nice foam to cleanse it. I was really impressed by that, and my face felt so clean after using it. I wasn't too keen on the smell. It almost smelled like that gummy orange candy coated in sugar, or orange soda. If you like sweet-smelling products, I would recommend this. But I would have preferred it to smell a little more like an actual orange and less like candy.5
