Sometimes you just need to get things down on paper. Field Notes are there for when you’re out and about, whether that’s on a road trip, in a bar, or exploring a new city. With a vintage design inspired by agricultural memo books of the early 20th century, these journals are small and flexible enough to fit in a back pocket. The set also comes with a pair of colorful retro clic pens so you’re prepared whenever inspiration strikes.
I signed up for birchbox to get samples of grooming products, not pads of paper. I understand the "relevance" of back to school season and such, but it's gimmicky. In the digital eras, I personally take notes on my phone and my techie personality is indicated in my Birchbox profile. It's just a couple pads of paper and a couple pens. Nothing special.2
By far the most drab and ordinary thing to pop up in my Birchbox. While the pen worked well, little tablets with ironic things written inside them just isn't my thang.2
This would have been kind of cool in 1998 when we didn't all have smart phones with notepad apps.2
I thought this would be a cool product, but it turns out that it's just some pens and paper. These aren't real field notebooks.2
Maybe its just me but if i wanted a designer pen Id buy a Mont Blanc... If i wanted a hipster pen id go to Urban Outfitters, to me these are just pens.2
seriously, it's just a small pad and pen. the pen writes good enough, I'll keep it in my car, but again it's an $11 pen and pad; however, I am pretty sure this was once used in a Wes Anderson film, so that makes it more than just a pen and pad!2
If you want a notebook, get a moleskin. They are more functional and actually stylish. This is pretty underwhelming and not something I would actually use.2
I would never buy this product. If they were to send along a premium pen to go with it, that would be a whole different story. The pen is a cheap $0.02 pen. The notebooks appear to be nice quality, durable, and would fit nicely in a pocket.2
This is not something I needed. I carry a pad similar to this in my bag already. The pens are not the type of pen I would ever use, not high quality.2
Pads of paper are a great idea and fit perfect in shirt pockets, etc. but the pens are cheap and not would I would've expected in quality from a birchbox brand.2
