Sometimes you just need to get things down on paper. Field Notes are there for when you’re out and about, whether that’s on a road trip, in a bar, or exploring a new city. With a vintage design inspired by agricultural memo books of the early 20th century, these journals are small and flexible enough to fit in a back pocket. The set also comes with a pair of colorful retro clic pens so you’re prepared whenever inspiration strikes.
If you want a notebook, get a moleskin. They are more functional and actually stylish. This is pretty underwhelming and not something I would actually use.2
I would never buy this product. If they were to send along a premium pen to go with it, that would be a whole different story. The pen is a cheap $0.02 pen. The notebooks appear to be nice quality, durable, and would fit nicely in a pocket.2
This is not something I needed. I carry a pad similar to this in my bag already. The pens are not the type of pen I would ever use, not high quality.2
Pads of paper are a great idea and fit perfect in shirt pockets, etc. but the pens are cheap and not would I would've expected in quality from a birchbox brand.2
Simple product but useable. Pen quality ok but not great. I like the thinness, but prefer waterproof paper for this kind of notebook.2
I was not impressed to spend $20 on this box and receive some cheap little notepads and pens. Not exciting or useful. Im not a boy scout2
not really needed, have plenty of pads and pens but thanks BB2
The pens are nothing special and similar to what you could get for free in a giveaway. The pads are functional but not exceptional. Underwhelmed.2
I liked that there were three different types of lined paper in the field notes journal. The pocket size is great for carrying around and grabbing to jot down ideas or write down notes or lists to tear out. The pens could have been better.2
I'm a bit mystified as to why this standard-issue blank book pack and substandard pens were included in my Birchbox sampler. Being my first sampler, my thought was, "THIS is what I'm getting?" It really lowered my impression of the service and gave me second thoughts about continuing. Just my opinion, of course, but it really looks like junk to me.2
