Designed by Apple veteran Justin Charlton, the Old Calgary Alpha Wallet is an ideal card and cash carrier for the modern man. Given the opportunity to flash this slim, concrete-colored design, you might actually look forward to the arrival of the check.
I got a totally different wallet from the one my birchbox account said I did... The wallet they want me to review is the Alpha wallet, which looks interesting. That's not the wallet I got. The wallet I got is boring. It is two pieces of felt stitched together to make a vertical wallet. No leather. Not the horizontal design of the Alpha wallet.1
Minus the x on the front, I honestly felt like this was a product I could make myself. It fits a good amount of cards but honestly they need to step their quality game up.3
This feels really cheap (it feels a lot like insulation foam/padding only in felt form, if you want a reference). So far it's held up fairly well, but I'm only about 2 weeks in. It's definitely nice to shed the old bulky wallet, but I can't get over the feel of the product itself. If the price point were lower it'd be a decent buy, but I feel like you can get similar, higher quality products for the same price if not less.4
Maybe it was just the sample that they sent but it fit like 3-4 cards and definitely no cash. There maybe some one out there who this is for but I try to keep everything cash so it just doesn't work for me...1
Unfortunately the wallet I received was slightly different than the one in the picture and did not have the card holder on the side. I was disappointed with the thickness of the actual wallet in comparison with the limited holding capacity that it contained.1
Very bulky for a product I would use to reduce the bulk of my current wallet.2
As a business card holder, it's a little too bulky to keep in my pocket...and the wool material makes it tough to get in and out. As a wallet, it just doesn't offer much room for cash, a license and credit card(s)...etc.2
Definitely a distinct look, but is bulky. I always look for a sleek wallet that won't have a heavy profile in my pocket. For that reason I don't think i'd use this product.1
This was a nice minimalistic wallet that had enough room for a few cards and cash.4
I was not impressed with this sample at all. Not only was the sample nothing close to the wallet on the website, but I got a similar card case from Roosevelt Supply a few boxes ago that was a higher quality and looks a lot better. This is not slim and looks like a ten year old made it.1
