The best musical experiences in life are shared—and we’re not just talking about the Pearl Jam concert you attended with your buddies in the early ’90s. Whenever you want to hear the music played loud—at the beach, say, or in a hotel room—a good bet is this snappy-looking Portable Speaker. Available in design-centric zebrawood or rosewood finishes, it promises to please both your inner DJ and your inner aesthete.
It broke fast. Extremely fast. I was a sucker for the aesthetic but the craftsmanship left something to be desired.1
Item doesn't work at all, doesn't play sound, just crackles. Terrible. Total waste of money. I would not recommend buying this to anyone.1
The look and feel is great, but whenever I try and push the headphone into the jack, the jack falls into the wood and never allows for a tight seal and thus only can hear L or R speaker, but not both simultaneously. Otherwise it's a 5-star product!1
The construction and design are fine (although really...why the special wire?), but this thing sounds AWFUL. Muffled, crackly sound. Sure, it's louder than just my iPhone, but that's about it. My friend has a similar-type device, and while that one might not look as nice, it sounds much, much better than this piece of stuff. It came free in a box, otherwise I would be really upset with this.1
This speaker, though wonderfully sized and visually attractive, is perhaps the worst quality speaker i've ever used. This box just gives off static randomly, and for random periods of time as well. It gives off long, shrill sounds and completely distorts the sound that it is amplifying.
Had I not gotten it for free, I never would have purchased it. At this point, free is too much as it is effectively a paperweight.
completely useless if you lose the specific charger they provide. WHy not make this mini usb so we don't need to carry around another wire1
Sound is fair, but really, a wire hookup!? I don't use any accessory, including headphones unless they are Bluetooth. I thought the age of wires was finally over.1
Found this to be quite disappointing. The speaker cracked for songs with higher bass. Looks great, but just does not do the trick musically.1
Received the first one on our March box, it was damaged, so realizing that could have been a one-off situation, I requested a replacement. After receiving the replacement, it still had issues. Every time I plug it in to my iPhone 5, there is a lot of static and fuzzy sounds. Was super excited about this product, loved the look and size, however it is just poor quality.1
I was unable to hear the sound quality because of an electro-static noise the speaker produced each time I plugged my iPhone in. I used a couple different cords with the same results. That said, it feels like its a solid little device but not something I would ever buy if I saw it in a store. If I were buying a portable speaker, I'd be looking for one that had at a minimum Bluetooth and preferably AirPlay. Definitely not the product for me.1
