Ease the pain of chapped lips with this Brooklyn-based brand’s all-natural balms. Packaged in a tin not unlike the one that houses your favorite mints, this set of four balms (Peppermint, Cocoa, Cinnamon, and Citrus) is like a beeswax-based buffet. Each flavor soothes dry, cracked mouths without any residue or shine.
I like the simplicity of this product. However, I don't like the cinnamon flavor, especially not for a summer product.2
Nice balm, loved the "flavor" but not for me--I'm not one to spend a lot of money on chapstick.2
I can never have too many lip balms and was very happy to see a sample of the Citrus lip balm that only has five ingredients. I love the feel of the balm on my lips, but I cannot tolerate the scent. The cocoa butter has a very strong chocolate scent that does not mixt pleasantly with the citrus essential oils. It reminds me of that orange flavored chocolate that you find around Christmas, you know the one shaped like an orange.2
I love the flavor/fragrance of this lip balm and I love that it's all-natural, but I feel like I have to apply it carefully or I will get too much and it feels a little grainy on my lips. Between this and Burt's bees, I'll stick with my old standby.2
When you initially put this product on your lips, you get a great citrusy smell, but immediatly after, some other odor finishes it and it is horrible. It smells disgusting and I just can't get over having something smelling that bad right under my nose. It does feel great on my lips, but the smell just ruins it.2
Loved the texture, soft and soothing... flavor not so much2
The texture of the lip balm was fine, but the cinnamon one had far too much cardamon scent in it. Also I didn't find it very moisturizing for my lips.2
This lip balm feels like butter on your lips. Super nourishing. I love the simple five ingredients. What I can't get over is the taste. The cinnamon and cardamom is super strong. It gets in your mouth and it tastes like you ate peppercorns or some other super strong spice. I wish I had gotten the citrus or peppermint lip balm to try because I have a feeling I would love them. The cinnamon is just gross!2
I always love trying new lip balms because I am a fanatic and always have a few floating in my purse. I am not a huge fan of cinnamon but tried it anyway hoping it may not be as strong as other cinnamon flavored products. I was wrong, VERY strong cinnamon flavor which turned me off personally, but the balm itself had a good texture and wasn't sticky or overly greasy. I think I would like this product in a different flavor.2
The cinnamon chap stick has a very strong scent to it. I think the chapstick is well made but the scent makes it almost unbearable. Not a fan. I hope the other scents were better.2
