If you’re rocking a fragrance inherited from your old man, or relying on a goopy deodorant stick for your olfactory game, it’s time to mix things up. Kick off your new scent strategy with this subtle, summery eau de toilette from Motor City designer John Varvatos. It’s the fragrance equivalent of your favorite jeans and a just-washed tee: classic, cool, and easy-going. Even the packaging—a flask wrapped in hand-woven rattan—exudes laid-back class.
I have to say, my husband hardly ever wears cologne (read: Valentine's Day and anniversaries only and usually when I hint about using some). He really really liked this. It's nice and casual and not that usual heavy male fragrance that you are used to smelling as you walk thru department stores. Nice!3
I am VERY PICKY with cologne. I feel as though there must be a good balance between what is attractive to me and what is attractive to women. I received a sample of this cologne in my Birchbox and was really impressed with the scent. Clean and fresh, yet not overwhelming. It would truly be one of my favorites if it didn't wear off so quickly. I put in on in the morning and can barely smell it by noon. If you're the type to carry a bottle of cologne in the car with you, then I would highly recommend this one!3
I was a bit disappointed. I got comments but not compliments when both times I wore the scent. I found it ok but not enough to wear regularly as a signature scent. Of course fragrance is different on everyone so I would certainly suggest trying it for yourself, that is the only true indicator for fragrance.3
I'm not a perfume person, but I thought this was tolerable. I wore it for a few hours and thought the scent was nice.3
My boyfriend liked the 'fresh out of the shower' scent but it's nothing distinctive that will blow your socks off. We also noticed that the scent tends to change over time and doesn't necessarily smell bad but we were surprised since that issue is normally associated with cheap fragrances. For the steep price tag of product I've found better colognes but suppose its a matter of preference. I do like the product just think the price tag exceeds the quality.3
At first, this smells nice. It seems light and refreshing, like that "fresh out of the shower man" smell. Then after a couple seconds it becomes overwhelmingly sweet smelling, especially for a guy!3
The smell is powerful, woody, and leathery. Its a great smell for guys. I tried some on and the scent lasted all day. Could be overpowering if you wear too much though. A little goes a long way.3
This is an ok scent, not my favorite though. It is a little too fruity for my taste so if that is not something you are into, maybe you should pass on it. It is definitely pleasant and nice, but is also very subtle.3
This perfume smells nice. Not something I prefer getting in my Birchbox because I already have specific scents that I wear. It is nice to keep in my purse though in case I need a spritz throughout the day.3
I originally thought that maybe I could wear this too but its definitely too masculine. I like the smell though so I ended up giving it to my brother.3
