If you’re rocking a fragrance inherited from your old man, or relying on a goopy deodorant stick for your olfactory game, it’s time to mix things up. Kick off your new scent strategy with this subtle, summery eau de toilette from Motor City designer John Varvatos. It’s the fragrance equivalent of your favorite jeans and a just-washed tee: classic, cool, and easy-going. Even the packaging—a flask wrapped in hand-woven rattan—exudes laid-back class.
I immediately gave this to my husband when it arrived in the mail. It smells devine. I'm super picky about what he wears and won't let him wear certain colognes. This one had my full stamp of approval. It doesn't smell cheap, and it doesn't linger too much but it also doesn't fade right away. It's just right. Smells manly and clean.4
I like John Varvatos company a lot and finding this in the birchbox was really cool, the smell was great and gave it to my brother as a gift to change up his scent, he really liked it as well. Its perfect for men who want a distinct yet subtle scent.4
I am so impressed by this scent, I decided to to wear it to the bar; bees on honey. Enough said.4
I am a perfume lover. I have a large collection and am always looking for great additions. This has an interesting smell, not sure about it yet.2
Thoroughly enjoyed the scent. It was light and perfect for work but also could wear it out on the town. I would recommend this scent for those looking for a light classy scent.5
I gave this to my husband, and we both agree it smells great! He usually wears Burberry and would consider purchasing this after that runs out- which is saying something coming from him!4
Got this in the November BB and gave to boyfriend. Subtle scent but very nice. Not very strong (have to be close) but that could be from applying from a small vial vs. a spray from a full size.4
My boyfriend liked the 'fresh out of the shower' scent but it's nothing distinctive that will blow your socks off. We also noticed that the scent tends to change over time and doesn't necessarily smell bad but we were surprised since that issue is normally associated with cheap fragrances. For the steep price tag of product I've found better colognes but suppose its a matter of preference. I do like the product just think the price tag exceeds the quality.3
Wasn't a favorite :(
This EDT had a VERY overpowering smell. My husband compared it to Lemon scented Lysol. It wasn't for us.
I found John Varvatos Artisan eau de toilette to be a nice addition to my regular go-to perfumes. Light and summery this scent is practical and not to fussy. It has a top note of citrus, a slightly herbal/ floral mid-note, and it finishes with a woody earthy layer. It is unique and airy, and fresh. I do not feel as though the scent was very unisex, it's fairly floral and delicate, very feminine. And much like the description states: it's very much like slipping into your favorite skinnies and a classic white tee. Hope you enjoy!5
