If you’re rocking a fragrance inherited from your old man, or relying on a goopy deodorant stick for your olfactory game, it’s time to mix things up. Kick off your new scent strategy with this subtle, summery eau de toilette from Motor City designer John Varvatos. It’s the fragrance equivalent of your favorite jeans and a just-washed tee: classic, cool, and easy-going. Even the packaging—a flask wrapped in hand-woven rattan—exudes laid-back class.
I was not sure who this was supposed to go on: Me or my husband. With the male name, I assumed this was a "male-only" product, but, alas, I still put a dag on my wrist. Perhaps it's just me, but I am VERY particular about the perfume / scents I wear. This is definitely not one I would / will wear again.2
Love the packaging on this cologne, and the smell was ok. Received a sample, so I'm only judging the packaging based on the design and online photos.2
I was excited for this product in Birchbox because it was something to share with my husband. It sounded wonderful when reading the notes. Once he put it on I still thought it smelled pleasant but really wasn't anything special. It was okay. It has a nice citrus smell but other than that was not something I could see him buying himself.2
it was a nice scent, but not much else to say about it besides its nice. it didn't really impress me, but then again it wasn't overly strong or offensive.2
didn't like the smell at all. My husband wasn't in to it either.2
I gave the sample to my husband to use. We were both indifferent to the smell.2
Really, really didn't like the way this smelled. Didn't want to share it with my husband, for fear of its turning me off of him!2
I gave it to my fiancee when I got it from my monthly birchbox. It's not a good sign that he used it and then immediately made an excuse to take a shower; then gave the small sample to his brother....2
The scent was nice - totally unisex and fresh. But like some of the other reviewers said, the scent seemed to just evaporate after an hour or so. I would have liked if it had lingered a little longer.2
I thought it smelled ok, until I really took a whiff. I'm not a fan.2
