If you’re an old-fashioned gent, you like a quality shoe shine, crisp pocket squares, and a traditional straight-razor shave. But when a jam-packed schedule doesn’t allow for cutthroat whisker removal, we suggest this concentrated, creamy soap, which brings to mind classic barber shops (especially the Italian variety) with its tingly sensation and old-school packaging.
First I'd like to point out that it says to mix a bit in your hands but then to apply with a brush. You tell me how that happens. SO I didn't use a brush. I found this product to be slimey and I even noticed my blade would have a line of product connected from my cheak to the blade almost 2 inches long at times. that creeped me out a bit. the glide of the blade was nice however. I got about 3 shaves in with the sample alone but that's full face and the boys below. So a little goes a long way. The scent was subdued and there was a slight numbing sensation that I did enjoy. Sadly I broke out after each use.2
I really enjoyed the lather from this product when I used my brush but it has a strong distinct smell that I did not enjoy.2
This product works fine for it's purpose. I just didn't think that it stood out from my usual shaving creams. I didn't like the smell either.2
This product did not satisfy my personnel taste for shaving cream. it did not lather well. I would not buy this product.2
Not a fan, I got this last year in my BirchBox. I don't really care for the smell or texture and the sample is too small. I don't think it's a bad product, it's just not for me. If you had an old school face cream brush and blade...this might be more effective.2
I didn't feel like this stuff worked any better than the generic brand.2
This product worked well, but I didn't find it to be any more effective then a shaving cream you buy at the store.2
Nothing against the product, it does what it should. But just getting tired of shave items in my box. Every month.....a shave item.2
I have annoyingly sensitive skin, especially around my chin, and this product did me zero favors. It lathered well and I felt as though I was able to achieve a close shave, but I found the menthol rather overpowering and did not like the smell. Afterwards, my skin was noticeably inflamed and I had a number of white heads by late afternoon. Definitely won't be trying it again.2
Perhaps my beard is a little on the thick side, but I didn't find that this cream lathered up enough. Also, the smell is nice, but I usually apply lotion with a scent afterwards so it is lost on me.2
