Gentlemen of taste often prefer a straight-razor shave—but when there’s no time for the full cutthroat experience, try this concentrated, creamy shaving soap. Three distinctive Italian formulas ensure a truly personal touch, calling to mind barbershops of a bygone era.
I do not like the smell that this leaves on my face1
Cool packaging, but similar to more of a canned shaving cream experience. Kind of indifferent to this one.1
Was stoked to see that I was getting this in my box this month as I've been torn over purchasing it to give it a go. Glad I didn't buy. The cream seems to be super mentholated because after a minute of trying to get a good lather going my face felt like it was dipped in an ice water bath. The smell is kind of medicinal to me and doesn't work well with my shave oil or my after shave (I'm a sandalwood guy). My face didn't feel as moisturized after the shave as it does with TOBS. I also had to work at getting a good lather going and took me a little bit longer to get my shave done. Probably a stellar product for those that do the hot towel and like a mentholated cream, just not for me.1
I don't use blades anymore and opt only for electric shaving. This sample was put into my travel bag for emergencies but I don't plan on using it anytime soon.1
I didn't really like the way it lathered and it left my face a little dry1
Did not lather well, clogged razor, and was not smooth. Was not large enough to complete shaving.1
So I think it's interesting that everyone loves this. My boyfriend tried it and said it felt like IcyHot and he didn't like it. It kind of smelled like IcyHot too. The smell was strong and I wasn't a huge fan of that. He gave it a second shot, said it still burned and was unpleasant.1
I don't know if it is because I didn't use a brush or what but I could not use this. Had to wash it off and use my old stuff. No thank you.1
I was not impressed with this product for me. It does lather well, but leaves a soapy, slippery feeling on my hands even after multiple washings. Also, did cause a breakout of acne after a couple of uses, so might not be good if you have oily skin.1
Seems sensitive skin guys have a bad time with this--despite the texture and concept seeming to be perfect for us. Very disappointed, given the history and 'cool' factor.1
