Gentlemen of taste often prefer a traditional straight-razor shave. But when your schedule won't allow for cutthroat whisker removal, try this concentrated, creamy soap. Your choice from three distinctive formulas will have its perks: Refresh uses eucalyptus oil to tone and purify skin, plus menthol to deliver a tingly kick. Nourish uses karité butter and sandalwood oil to soften tough beards, producing a smoother, easier shave. Protect taps aloe and Vitamin E to soothe sensitive skin, leaving it soft and hydrated with a crisp, musky scent. Whichever you choose, it'll bring to mind classic barber shops with its no-fuss results and old-school packaging.
I don't use blades anymore and opt only for electric shaving. This sample was put into my travel bag for emergencies but I don't plan on using it anytime soon.1
I didn't really like the way it lathered and it left my face a little dry1
Did not lather well, clogged razor, and was not smooth. Was not large enough to complete shaving.1
So I think it's interesting that everyone loves this. My boyfriend tried it and said it felt like IcyHot and he didn't like it. It kind of smelled like IcyHot too. The smell was strong and I wasn't a huge fan of that. He gave it a second shot, said it still burned and was unpleasant.1
I don't know if it is because I didn't use a brush or what but I could not use this. Had to wash it off and use my old stuff. No thank you.1
I was not impressed with this product for me. It does lather well, but leaves a soapy, slippery feeling on my hands even after multiple washings. Also, did cause a breakout of acne after a couple of uses, so might not be good if you have oily skin.1
Seems sensitive skin guys have a bad time with this--despite the texture and concept seeming to be perfect for us. Very disappointed, given the history and 'cool' factor.1
Had one of the worst shaves ever. Menthol & Eucalyptus combo dried skin out. Blade had an awful time gliding. Skin was itchy afterwards. Only thing going for this was the lather, which is an tertiary attribute. Better shaving creams out there.1
I was really hoping to enjoy this shaving cream, but about ten seconds after applying it to my face, the mint just went wild. I had to wash it off immediately, and I could still feel the menthol burning for a good five minutes after. It's a pity.1
Not a fan of the smell. It smells good I guess, but "cheap" to me. As another user, Neal, stated: it "felt like it stuck to my face and neck all day," which I found to be true as well. Will stick to my niche shaving soaps and creams.2
