Gentlemen of taste often prefer a straight-razor shave—but when there’s no time for the full cutthroat experience, try this concentrated, creamy shaving soap. Three distinctive Italian formulas ensure a truly personal touch, calling to mind barbershops of a bygone era.
I like this shaving soap, good scent, fresh feeling, not runny when it gets a little wet. Definite reuse when out.4
Worked well with my sensitive skin. Reduced the irritation I get when shaving.4
One of my favorite shaving creams is this Proraso shaving cream. This tube lasts a long time because you only need about 1/4 to 1/2" of the stuff to make a lot of rich, creamy and soothing lather. I let it sit on my beard for a minute or two before starting to shave and that gives the Eucalyptus and Menthol time to do their stuff... which means a nice refreshing and tingly feeling on the skin. When you're done shaving, rinse off face with cold water and you have just woken up. This is good stuff! Really a great deal and the quality of the shave makes it well worth it.5
I just started getting into the higher end shaving creams and this was great. I got the Nourish scent, which goes on nicely and leaves my face smooth and smelling good. Once I found the right balance of shaving cream to water, this product does build up a nice lather. I will try out the refresh scent next time around.5
Great shaving cream. A small amount goes along way. Shaves were smooth and easy. It also smells great, so its a real winner.5
It was a little hard to use and somewhat confusing, I wouldn't purchase Again.3
This was by far my favorite thing in my box - the cream is a nice, thin consistency, but it still creates a smooth shave. It lathers well, the smell (I got Refresh) is subtle and masculine, it's easy on my skin, and it's easy to wipe off when you're finished. It doesn't take much of the cream to shave - start with a lot less than you think you need, and then add a bit more if you don't have enough coverage.5
Once I upgraded from Barbasol to Proraso back in the early days of college I've never looked back. It's one of those old school shaving tools that worked 80 years ago for GI's in WW II and it works for us nostalgic-binge watching Mad Men-spending the rent money on vintage sport coats-types. The lather is thick without clogging the razor and it doesn't dry out your skin nearly as much as some other shaving creams. I prefer Nourish over the other two because I love the smell of sandalwood but Refresh is what I first started using and the menthol kick is legit. I already have two bowls of Prosaro shaving cream in my medicine cabinet, but it's always handy to have a travel tube or three tucked away.5
Good product provides for a smooth close shave with only a little of the product. With this you can see your skin while shaving. Sampled and purchased the larger size.5
This is a sudsy shave cream that protects well and applies thin enough to still see my face. It keeps my face feeling great after a shave.5
