This concentrated, creamy soap—which brings to mind classic barber shops (especially the Italian variety)—takes your shave to the next level with its tingly sensation and old-school packaging. This shave cream comes in three distinct formulas, each with its own special perks. Refresh uses eucalyptus oil to tone and purify skin, plus menthol to deliver a tingly kick. Nourish uses karité butter and sandalwood oil to soften tough beards, producing a smoother, easier shave. Protect taps aloe and Vitamin E to soothe sensitive skin, leaving it soft and hydrated with a crisp, musky scent.
I usually just use whatever shaving cream is lying around, but I may have to start paying more attention. I have sensitive skin, and it really does pay to use a quality shaving cream.5
Used this product and to my surprise it left my skin very smooth and vibrant. Also usually my face gets razor burn but not with this product.4
i don't really use any products when i shave. i think this product would be good for someone with sensitive skin.5
I've been a wet shaver for years and am always on the lookout for a better shaving cream. I have thick, rough stubble, and this stuff is far and away better at giving me a smooth, nic free shave than anything else I've used. My only complaint, and it is a small one, is that I'd like it to have a slightly less strong scent.5
I don't personally use a razor when I shave, I like to keep a bit of stubble, but I let my roommate have a hand at it and he really enjoys it. He said he felt better with how he was able to control the lather versus from a can of barbasol.4
I already use another product when shaving and am very happy with it.3
smells nice but not any more effective than the neutrogena one i use for a cheaper price.5
I have seen a few people whom I admire use or mention Proraso in their normal grooming routine, so I was interested to try it. When it arrived in my Birchbox, I was pretty pumped.
Unfortunately, I think I set my expectations too high.
I should say that I do really like this product. It works, and it works well. It just doesn't work as well for me as Lucky Tiger. If I didn't already have a shaving cream that I really like, I think Proraso would be my first choice. However, I currently use Lucky Tiger, and I find that I like the fragrance of Lucky Tiger far more than I like Proraso. I also find that the Lucky Tiger leads to less irritation for my sensitive skin.
In closing, Proraso is awesome, but Lucky Tiger is better for me. YMMV.
it does the job, it's the classic, and it's a good product.4
This shaving cream did the job but wasn't anything extra. It didn't lather very well and the scent was odd. It was nice to have a change from the standard Gillette or Edge gel but, sorry, this product didn't do it for me. I'd pass on this one next time.2
