If you’re an old-fashioned gent, you like a quality shoe shine, crisp pocket squares, and a traditional straight-razor shave. But when a jam-packed schedule doesn’t allow for cutthroat whisker removal, we suggest this concentrated, creamy soap, which brings to mind classic barber shops (especially the Italian variety) with its tingly sensation and old-school packaging.
Overall this product does a good job as a shaving cream. It is a non-foaming shaving cream, which is a negative for me, but it was effective and smelled good.4
This stuff smells great, the texture and consistency is very good! I will most likely be purchasing myself more!5
I already have a large tube, this will be nice for the dopp kit when I travel. Make sure you're using a badger hair brush... Best shave ever.5
I am always looking for new shaving products to use and this one was very good. I would consider buying the full size version4
I love to try new shaving products. And I liked the look of this product. It reminded me of the old school barber shop and then once I put it on the smell and feel of the lather was exactly like I expected.5
My girlfriend used this shave cream on her legs with the Harry razor in my Birchbox and loved it. She liked the smell (sometimes women's shave products make her nauseous) and she didn't have any cuts or bumps after using this product. A win!5
I like to think I know a great deal about shaving. I own a safety razor, badger brush, etc...but had never used their shaving cream before. IT WAS GREAT. My other brush cream that I use is fairly pricey and I thought was pretty awesome, but I could never really get a proper lather. Well, proraso's lather was great and immediate! I definitely recommend this for brush users.4
This is the best shaving cream I've ever used. I love the scent and it lathered well. I got a great shave from it.
Only a dab will do ya though.
If this is your first try at a real shaving cream (not from a can) you really need to give this a good long try. Get a shaving brush, whip up a lather and enjoy the soothing feeling. The stuff from cans are not nearly as slick and tend to be drying. I tend to prefer to use this type of product to make a "super lather." I first build a lather with a hard shaving soap and then add some cream to enhance.4
I guess that I am not one for an old fashioned shave. This cream was not foaming or even able to be shaved off my face. It was more like a soapy lather on your hands. It did have a cooling menthol after-feeling.
