At the end of a long day we could all use a fresh start—and the same goes for our hair. When product buildup and styling stress leave strands feeling and looking dull, this clarifying shampoo, subtly scented with white freesia, golden amber, and warm musk, gently cleanses without stripping moisture or color. Black currant and soy restore vibrancy, acai berry and vitamin C deliver youth-boosting antioxidants, oolong tea and Irish moss defend against environmental damage, and lemongrass and oatmeal gently cleanse and purify. This shampoo is also vegan-friendly and free from sulfate/sodium chloride and parabens.
I'm confused as to why you'd want a shampoo that doesn't lather. My hair didn't really feel clean afterwards. Not the shampoo for me.3
I have curly and frizzy hair and I use a lot of different products to control the frizz and enhance curls. A clarifying shampoo is nice to freshen up your hair and really get it clean. It definitely got my hair clean but it also relaxed my curls (something I don't want). I can see myself using this maybe once a month to strip my hair of all the products I use. My only real qualm is the heavy perfumey scent. It doesn't linger but it is quite strong while you use it.5
This brand puts together amazing scents for all their products. This shampoo really does strip off any leftover products and makes my hair feel very clean.4
I have used other clarifying shampoos but sometimes y hair feels weighted down afterwards. Not with this product - my hair was clean and maintained its body. Great addition to the hair care repertoire.4
I use this shampoo once or twice a month to remove all styling products. I follow the directions and use a conditioner after shampooing and my hair feels great and manageable. Love this product. Thanks!
I love Number 4 shampoos because they are super concentrated, so you don't need to use as much, and the same is true with this sample. Because it's so concentrated, the bottle does say to "emulsify" (later) the shampoo in your hands prior to putting it to your hair. This formula doesn't lather nearly as much as the hydrating formula, which was pretty disappointing. Even though it's a clarifying shampoo, it didn't seem to get my hair as clean as the hydrating shampoo, which I currently use, and I felt the need to wash my hair again after the first go. It does say that this is especially formulated to remove excess product from the hair while maintaining natural oils, so it may be that it's just too gentle for me and my slightly oilier scalp. I've been lucky enough to try the volumizing, hydrating, and now this line of Number 4 products, and unfortunately, I like this fragrance the very least.3
I used this with the reconstructing masque and my hair felt so soft and tangle free! All of the hair products I have received from this brand are great and never disappoint me!5
