Let’s face it: most bleary-eyed mornings, a little extra energy certainly wouldn’t hurt. This body wash from the stately British brand uses Madagascan black pepper oil for an eye-opening, skin-tingling sensation. More than just nature’s wake-up call, the powerful antioxidant also relaxes muscles, boosts circulation, and rids the skin of toxins. One of Molton Brown’s most sought-after products, the aromatic wash recently received a best-in-class Grooming Award from Men’s Health.
He disliked the smell, I found it favorable but what he thinks about it ultimately matters if it'll be used. I may use it as a backup body wash cuz I dont mind smelling like a guy. Most girls will like this scent on a man.1
Reminded me of the scent of Aramis cologne.. Not a good combo if you choose to wear cologne as well.1
Bought this for my husband based on all the rave reviews. The over bearing old man smell was so over powering that I had to return.2
Love the product line; however, I did not like the scent. For me, it reminded me of my Dad's cologne back when I was a little kid snooping through his dresser. Just real peppery and old manish.2
This soap smells pretty good, but it is really really fragrant. Using it was almost the equivalent of throwing on some cologne. Additionally, I didn't think it was all that effective, didn't lather real well and couldn't help but feel like it didn't clean well.2
Is it just me or do I smell like a salad with italian dressing now? The "peppery" aroma was too much - I found myself thinking that I smelled like salad all day. Yes, it lathers well, yes a little bit goes a long way, but the smell is overwhelming.2
I hated this smell (it was much too manly for me), but I can definitely see how some women (and certainly men) would love it. It was a good body wash, but I always find it difficult to distinguish drugstore body washes from more higher end ones, especially just based off of a small sample and not long-term use. It didn't knock my socks off, so I think I'll stick with my more fruity/flowery cheaper body washes for now.3
I had used this in the past and forgot about it. Purchased and bottle and have it in my rotation for body washes, as I like to alternate between a few. It's a bit stronger in the fragrance department from ones I normally use but enjoy using it a couple of times a week.3
I expected this product, which is marketed to men, to be more like a woman's bath product -- foamy enough to shave your legs. It's not. This product smells like a nice clean man and it does make my skin tingle. I just wish it was more foamy.3
I decided to try Molton Brown after sampling some of their Body Wash in a hotel. I went with this Black Peppercorn scent. However, once I got it, the smell was way too perfumey. Unfortunately, I'm returning it. If you like strong scented body washes, then this may be to your liking.3
