While the word patchouli might call to mind images of the hippie generation, this sophisticated fragrance couldn’t be further from that. Designed by Atelier Cologne’s fragrance expert Jérome Epinette, Mistral Patchouli uses grapefruit and black pepper notes to enhance a base of Indonesian patchouli. Equal parts zesty and earthy, the enticing result is more “leading man” than “flower child.”
Not a bad scent, just not for me. It was a little too bright of a scent than what I go for. I was pleased with how long it lasts so you don't need to reapply throughout the day.3
I took it out of the wrap and the bottle of the same design from the counter ladies at Este Laude. Smell wasn't bad or great i would probably swhtich this product3
Use little. the smell is overwhelming if you use too much3
I'm just not a fan of this scent, not very attractive to me. I think that I would enjoy more of a spice in my scent.3
I'm still in the initial stage of my search for a "favorite" cologne. This was nice but I'm not sure if I would wear it everyday or just special occasions… this could be since I'm new to this but I also find the scent wears off quickly. Im cautious of over applying so thats been the result. Its a nice add to the kit. The low key packaging makes it easy to travel with in case of the occasion comes up.3
I couldn't get past the smell. It reminded me of a hookah lounge...not for me.3
I normally do not like the scent of patchouli but this cologne smells pretty good! My girlfriend likes it :)3
So even before the "coup de grace" that sent this one into oblivion for me, I just couldn't get behind this fragrance. I liked it in the bottle, quite a bit actually, I enjoyed smelling it. I thought the notes were distinct and interesting; obviously a skillfully crafted scent, but I just didn't like it on my skin. I think in this case the assertive patchouli was responsible, but I have to note that I had similar feelings about a sample of Blood Orange, also by Atelier: loved the smell but i couldn't wear it. Fragrances are such an individual and subjective thing, it depends so much on the person's body and its own scents, but also WHO is smelling you. This is why the final blow to this sample came when my wife smelled it on me and said I smelled like her grandfather.3
Not really for me. Did not like the combination of scents.3
seems like good quality stuff, but I literally hate the smell. smells like average girl perfume.3
