While the word patchouli might call to mind images of the hippie generation, this sophisticated fragrance couldn’t be further from that. Designed by Atelier Cologne’s fragrance expert Jérome Epinette, Mistral Patchouli uses grapefruit and black pepper notes to enhance a base of Indonesian patchouli. Equal parts zesty and earthy, the enticing result is more “leading man” than “flower child.”
I am not a fan. I don't know much about this brand. This cologne does not smell that great to me. I won't purchase this sent. To be fair everyone likes something different when it comes to sents. This one is not for me.3
Colognes are cool and I love getting them, but this one wasn't my favorite. It was okay, but I like watery scents a lot more.3
I'd like to start by saying that I never use cologne. I generally find it to be over-powering no matter how subtle. The same goes for this sample. I did find the scent pleasant however and wouldn't hesitate purchasing it as a gift.3
With all perfumes, I think it really comes down to scent preferences. This smelled pretty good to me but I'm not a huge patchouli fan. It also seemed to fall a little more on the cologne side than the perfume--almost manly.
However, I'm glad to have the sample vial of this in my purse because its strong scent is great if I, say, spill coffee on me and want to cover the scent.
This is a scent that is definitely more musky than I would normally wear. I've worn it out twice now and the muskiness definitely lends to a sexy, confidant feeling for a night out. I liked it and am sure I'll use my entire sample bottle.3
the smell is a little strong but that is why i like this cologne. it is definitely unisex but i tend to like unisex/male scents better anyway. the only negative thing really about this was the scent didn't last very long. i would probably buy it if it wasn't so expensive3
Don't love the scent, but it's not bad. I prefer lighter scents and I think this is too musky. I think it may actually work better for a male.3
It is not my favorite scent in the world, but I liked this MUCH better than Juicy Couture's LaLa sample I got in my last box. I get headaches from scents VERY easily, and I haven't had a problem with this product.3
I generally like reviewing and trying new fragrances but I wasn't fond of this one. It was very masculine to me and I actually thought I was sent a mens fragrance instead. For a man, I think it's very nice! It's very potent so very little could go a long way.3
This product was a sample in my July box. It is a nice, really earthy scent, with a bit of a musk. It had great staying power, and lasted several hours. But, it wasn't really my kind of fragrance.3
