While the word patchouli might call to mind images of the hippie generation, this sophisticated fragrance couldn’t be further from that. Designed by Atelier Cologne’s fragrance expert Jérome Epinette, Mistral Patchouli uses grapefruit and black pepper notes to enhance a base of Indonesian patchouli. Equal parts zesty and earthy, the enticing result is more “leading man” than “flower child.”
I think my title says it all. However, I would say that if you are planning on a few long weekend music festivals, this is the product for you...and me from time to time. Not for everyday wear though.3
First smelling the product in the bottle it was nice enough, nothing compelling. When I tried to wear it for a day the smell did not evolve well. I smell myself more than anyone else does and I did not like this cologne on me.3
I got this in my April Brichbox, For my taste it has too strong smell.3
This is definitely not a subtle fragrance. That's not necessarily a terrible thing, but it is not my kind of scent. I prefer a much more woodsy/leathery/rich kind of scent than an especially bright and zesty one such as this. If you are a fan of fruity yet sharp scents, this one would probably make you happy.3
This cologne smells pleasant, but maybe more appropriate for an "older" gentleman. I could picture the Dos Equis man smelling like this...3
Long-lasting and a nice scent but a little too feminine for my tastes.3
This fragrance is nothing shockingly new. It doen't really stand out that much. I have other colognes that I like much more.3
This is an interesting and to my nose very masculine scent. I generally prefer lighter colognes, so I don't plan to put this to regular use. But for occasional use to change things up it's a good choice.3
It was strong, and a bit overwhelming, reminded me of Aramis, but stronger. I liked the initial citrus smell, though.3
The product has a very nice smell, but it can also be referred to as generic. I currently have cologne that smells very similar that I prefer more.3
