While the word patchouli might call to mind images of the hippie generation, this sophisticated fragrance couldn’t be further from that. Designed by Atelier Cologne’s fragrance expert Jérome Epinette, Mistral Patchouli uses grapefruit and black pepper notes to enhance a base of Indonesian patchouli. Equal parts zesty and earthy, the enticing result is more “leading man” than “flower child.”
This is very woodsy/floral, it's quite strong in small amounts, plus it does manage to last through an 8 hour day except it does fade, you can still catch a small whiff off the skin towards the end of the day. Good stuff, really pricey though.5
this is a nice scent, but didn't mix well with my chemisty to make me love it.5
loved the smell. had great fragrance without being overpowering5
This cologne has a wonderful smell. It is a rich, sharp odor and I have gotten several compliments while wearing it. Great scent.5
So, this is the fragrance in my 1st Birchbox. I really like this smell. The grapefruit leaves soon after applying, but the patchouli stays with you. A great find!5
I've had several friends who like to go for straight patchouli oil as their preferred scent, and it is always overwhelming and makes you feel like you just walked into a head shop.
This is not that kind of patchouli. Instead it seems to be much more balanced with citrus and pepper, making what I think is a great summer scent.
This sent is very manly and lasts for a good while.5
The sample was a typical size cologne sample so definitely not complaining about that. However, seventy dollars for a 30ml fragrance seems a tad high to me. I'm considering this scent, but will be milking the samples as long as possible!5
I'm not one to like patchouli in general; in fact I've never like it. This cologne balances the earthiness of the patchouli very well, though. Nice and subtle. I like it.5
I currently spend $95 on my cologne from Sax to have a unique smell. This is $20 cheaper and received twice as many compliments!5
