While the word patchouli might call to mind images of the hippie generation, this sophisticated fragrance couldn’t be further from that. Designed by Atelier Cologne’s fragrance expert Jérome Epinette, Mistral Patchouli uses grapefruit and black pepper notes to enhance a base of Indonesian patchouli. Equal parts zesty and earthy, the enticing result is more “leading man” than “flower child.”
The scent is complex and stimulating. Unlike products of lesser quality, it lingers-with just a restrained application-at the perfect level of presence: noticeable without dominating. For hours its presence on my wrist was like an available fragrant refuge from a battering world5
I liked the fragrance. Patchouli is one of my favorites especially when combined with other essential fragrance oils like amber. Atelier is known for great fragrance art and I have purchased the brand in the past and have always been satisfied.4
I did not like this sample. It was to musky for my liking. I did get some citrus notes that were interesting, but I know that this scent is not for me. My wife also found it off putting so it would naturally have to go!2
I took it out of the wrap and the bottle of the same design from the counter ladies at Este Laude. Smell wasn't bad or great i would probably swhtich this product3
It has a hint of patchouli, which is normally not the scent it like, but I really loved this one!5
This entire line is fabulous, and layers well. I own many of their colognes.5
The smell isn't what I would usually go for. Has a very pungent smell. I like it, but it's not what kind of smell I would usually go for. But my wife really likes it, so whatever the women like, ill stick with.4
was quite surprised that I liked it. Totally different smell than what I usually wear4
Use little. the smell is overwhelming if you use too much3
I really love the smell, it's subtle too so only the ones closest to you can benefit from its gentlemanly aroma.5
