While the word patchouli might call to mind images of the hippie generation, this sophisticated fragrance couldn’t be further from that. Designed by Atelier Cologne’s fragrance expert Jérome Epinette, Mistral Patchouli uses grapefruit and black pepper notes to enhance a base of Indonesian patchouli. Equal parts zesty and earthy, the enticing result is more “leading man” than “flower child.”
I received this in my Birchbox. This was a bit too masculine for me, and the smell was very strong. I gave it to my husband, but it was too much for him too.1
This is a very earth and rich smell. It was much more manly than I would prefer in a scent.1
This fragrance sample was not for me-I did not enjoy the scent at all.1
This fragrance is extremely heavy. The grapefruit is almost non existent. If you are a citrus person, do not buy this perfume. It is all black pepper, anise, and patchouli. "Zesty freshness" is a huge lie.1
Patchouli for me is just one of the worst scents known to man. I think it smells like body odor. This is just my personal opinion, my mother happens to love it. So although this wasn't a great product for me, it will make a great gift to give to my mom.1
I feel bad rating this so low, but I really do not like the scent. It just is not for me.1
This was a very strong & not "lady like" perfume. Maybe it's just not my taste. It smelled more like a grandpa's scent. I'm actually surprised the BB editors thought this would be a female scent.1
This fragrance had notes I did like-- the floral/fruity parts, but the overwhelming patchouli scent was just not for me. Not a fan of that scent in general, and I regretted using this as I smelled it all day!1
Waaaaay too strong of a scent for me, smells like a very adult perfume.1
Sorry but every fragrance I have sampled from this brand has disappointed me. It smells awful.1
