While the word patchouli might call to mind images of the hippie generation, this sophisticated fragrance couldn’t be further from that. Designed by Atelier Cologne’s fragrance expert Jérome Epinette, Mistral Patchouli uses grapefruit and black pepper notes to enhance a base of Indonesian patchouli. Equal parts zesty and earthy, the enticing result is more “leading man” than “flower child.”
I did not expect to like this at all, but I liked the notes of orange that I detected. Still, I'll have to ask my wife if this fragrance works.4
I was skeptical at first with the word patchouli in it, but it smells wonderful! no hippie smell to it, it has a nice manly scent that my wife loves as well.4
Love the woody musky scent. Big fan. Just not sure about 125 for cologne.4
I love patchouli and this is a very subtle aroma without overpowering sillage.4
Had the woodsy scent I was looking for in a fall/winter cologne. I liked it so much that I ended up purchasing it.4
Got this in my November box. Had the sampler sitting in the medicine cabinet until an opportunity came to try it out, as I don't normally wear cologne.
23rd wedding anniversary seemed like an opportune time. The wife LOVED the smell. She raved about it all night.
I will stretch this sampler out as long as possible. The ONLY reason I didn't give this 5 stars is because of the price. But maybe I'm out of touch? Do colognes normally cost this much?
Something about the ways this smells says sexy. Probably because this fragrance is clean yet musky, like an afternoon romp in the grass. If it had not been in the name I never would have guessed that it was a patchouli scent, since the usually overwhelming herbs is subdued and well balanced. A great modern take on a masculine scent.4
I have been in the market for a new scent and this is by far the best I've come across. The deep woodsy scent is great for fall / winter and is super unique., I haven't found something this good in sephora or any department stores. It's great for someone who doesn't want to smell like everyone else4
The description made it sound like more of a ladies' perfume than a mens' cologne, but when it arrived and I tried it out I found the scent to be quite versatile and appealing. Worth a try.4
My wife loved it and so did I. Can't justify 125 for cologne for me but I really liked it.4
