While the word patchouli might call to mind images of the hippie generation, this sophisticated fragrance couldn’t be further from that. Designed by Atelier Cologne’s fragrance expert Jérome Epinette, Mistral Patchouli uses grapefruit and black pepper notes to enhance a base of Indonesian patchouli. Equal parts zesty and earthy, the enticing result is more “leading man” than “flower child.”
Didn't care for the patchouli smell, not for me at all.3
I'm not a big fan of the way this cologne smells. If I were buying more cologne for myself, I would probably pick something different.3
Not a fan of this, mainly because it smells like an old lady. Not a fan at all. Will not buy at all.2
This is a great take on the patchouli scent. A little earthy smells and not so much like the incense. Nice scent for summer.4
Overall, this cologne smells like patchouli But it isn't overpowering like pure patchouli oil can be. It's subtle and really nice to wear.4
Patchouli is just not allowed in our house. The smell of it makes me feel sick. So it's not this products fault - but still....I just think no cologne that wants to be seen as high end should have patchouli in it.1
Patchouli is a very distinct smell. You love it or hate it. I love it. This cologne was a very "clean/fresh patchouli. It was great!5
This was a nice woodsy scent but it's definitely not my style. High quality though!3
Fragrance is a personal preference - but I liked this one. Not too heavy or overpowering. The only thing that is a deciding factor is price. It is pretty expensive.4
Fragrances are fine for some men, but along with my disdain for jewelry (other than a watch and wedding band) I am not one to use a lot of fragrance. The price of this one makes it prohibitive.3
