While the word patchouli might call to mind images of the hippie generation, this sophisticated fragrance couldn’t be further from that. Designed by Atelier Cologne’s fragrance expert Jérome Epinette, Mistral Patchouli uses grapefruit and black pepper notes to enhance a base of Indonesian patchouli. Equal parts zesty and earthy, the enticing result is more “leading man” than “flower child.”
Loved the smell, but my husband didn't. Also, it is quite expensive for a perfume, but overall I thought it smelt great.4
Far too musky and strong for my taste, it says unisex, but I wouldn't really want to smell this on a man either, too overwhelming.2
This smelled very strong to me. I thought it was for a man, definitely does not seem unisex.1
I really did not care for this scent one bit. It was way too strong and masculine for me.1
I was not a fan of this scent. It was just not for me!2
I've been looking for a new perfume to wear daily. Unfortunately, this won't be it. The scent is just what I like- woody, warm, natural- sexy in an understated way. However, after dabbing on my wrists, neck, and on the back of my knees in the morning, the scent was gone within a matter of a few hours. My husband usually speaks up if I'm wearing perfume, and he didn't even notice that I had any on with this one. Le sigh!3
For the price this fragrance is less than mediocre.2
Though I just now read that it is considered unisex, I did not care for this at all. Perhaps on my husband...1
It was not bad just really wasn't for me. The smell was a little too much.3
I didn't care for this scent it was too heavy for me. I'm more into light scents I thought it was more manly.1
