A distinct take on Cartier’s Déclaration scent, Déclaration Essence builds upon the bestselling original. It features the same warm woody base but adds layers of fresh spices for an enticing finish. It’s sophisticated and sensual at the same time, making it a worthy addition to Cartier’s fragrance line—and ours.
I like this scent and would use it on a regular basis if I had it on supply. That said, I have a few others I like as well that are still in rotation, so I don't know that I'll run out to purchase this one right away.4
It really is a great scent, subtle and sticks around. Considering buying this guy! Fiance loves it and so do it. Bummed the sample ran out.4
Cartier has a winner on their hands with this one. Its perfect for summer and it last a really long long time. I have gotten many compliments on it.4
has a great smell, its a nice fresh clean smell and has its own unique scent. I like it a lot but dont know if i want to spend one hundred dollars on it4
I found this fragrance is bold but not overpowering, it does stay with you for long time. Best for all day wear.4
The cologne is nice, but not my favorite. I think it has a unique scent which took a while for me to warm up to. Improves over time.4
I found this to be a good masculine scent that wasn't too overpowering. Seems to mellow out after wearing for about an hour, which is nice. Definitely considering picking up a full sized product.4
I liked this fragrance a lot. Received a lot of compliments after wearing it!4
While not overpowering, I find that this is a masculine scent without the weight of muskiness.
It has a strong woody base, with compliments that smack of some of my favorite aromatic pipe tobaccos. Out of the bottle I get a stronger scent of tobacco that seems to fade to subtlety quickly (not cigarette tobacco, mind you, but rather a smoky cavendish). This is not a bad thing.
Whiskey is another note that harkens back to pipesmoke, for me. Again, this is not a strong or predominant smell, but rather more subtle.
On top of all is a significant lemon (or suchlike citrus) tone. This balances well with the other earthier notes in the composition, and lightens the compound as a whole.
A pleasant and complex fragrance.
I agree, pleasant smell that is not over powering. Price is up there though when compare to some other nice options.4
