As you might expect from a line founded by a celebrity hairstylist, GO247's Texture Paste delivers red carpet-worthy results (we’re not surprised it won a Details magazine award in 2012). The flexible formula increases volume and adds definition that lasts all day, and the sleek container—which looks like it was plucked from a 007 film—spruces up your countertop at the same time.
Product smells nice, just like all of the Go247 products. Holds well and leaves hair mate and has a nice texture too.4
This sample came at a good time, my boyfriend had just gotten a haircut and realized he left his old texture paste at his previous apartment. He really liked this. He says it works like whatever he was using before and I personally like how this one smells better. It holds his hair all day and unlike others he hasn't had any issues with getting it out of his hair when he showers, he said it rinses clean out. He thinks this may be due to the fact he uses a combination shampoo/conditioner that is meant to get residue off of hair (Double Hitter by Mitch, Paul Mitchell). We plan on buying a full size one when his sample runs out.5
This drier paste needs to warmed in the hands a lot to activate. Once placed in the hair, it give little to moderate hold. Because of the dryness of the paste, it does not combat frizz on dry hair.
I am a one-product-and-go type of guy, so this is not giving me enough.
I could see it being good as a finishing product to add in texture.
I find this sample to be quite generous given that a tiny portion is needed to achieve the desired result. I've tried similar pastes from Bumble&Bumble and American Crew and I'm quite pleased with the overall texture and smell of this particular product. There is a bit of residue but I'm fairly thorough with washing my hair and because of my scalp it doesn't bother me too much to have something left over to keep my hair from looking too dry. Overall a good product.4
He liked the product but informed me he is happy with the one we already get.4
Not a bad product but it did seem like i had to use a bit more of what im used to achieve desired result.4
The paste was very difficult to apply for me. It was really hard and did want to spread around on my hand, with water or without. I put the paste in my hair after showering and had to rub it around forever to get the clumps to disperse. Once it was dispersed, I found that it had very little hold on damp hair, making styling a challenge. Once my hair dried a few minutes later, I was happy with the hold and the texture. It was just a struggle getting to that point.
I would have liked some instructions with the sample.
Also it really doesn't smell very good. Not a strong smell, but not a pleasant one.
This stuff has taken some getting used to because of the interesting texture (ironic?) but I've grown to love it. It is perfect for my hair type and style. To top it off I love the smell. I'll definitely be buying the full size of this product.5
My hair is normally very unmanageable. This product helped me to tame the beast! I love it and will definitely be buying some!5
Appearance is a white paste, compact into the little jar, break some down a bit and rub into hands, easier when hair is a little damp, very similar to fiber but a bit more pasty, great hold, low shine, and great smell, really like the smell actually. Worth trying if this description sounds up your alley.3
