Holding up your pants with your thumbs just doesn’t cut it once you’ve graduated from straw hats and cleaning your teeth with a piece of wheat. And frankly, neither does that single plain brown leather belt you’ve owned since fifth grade. As with neckties, your belt game demands both quality and variety. This simple, two-tone textured solution is the perfect place to start when you’re ready to get serious about building out your closet’s belt lineup.
I really like this belt and will definitely wear it this summer with shorts! It is one size fits all, so you can wear it as tightly or as loosely as you want.4
I really wish BirchBox offered different sizes of this belt. The sample size was meant for a bean pole and not a well built man. I did however like the woven design and buckle. More than likely it will go as a gift to a nephew.2
I've never owned a cotton belt before but I'm happy to have received this in my birchbox this month; with only a little bit of use I can already tell that it's far more effective at being a comfortable and functional belt than the leather one I have. Without cinching it too tight it sits my jeans comfortably on my body and looks and acts as though it isn't even there thanks to the color. This is definitely a pleasant surprise; I might end up buying one of these for a friend or even my father.5
The belt itself is made of cool Cotton so it is breathable. It looks pretty cool in itself. The only qualm I have is the one size fits all! I have a 34 in. waist and this belt is capable of at least 40 !!! Way to much extra slack.3
This belt is my new summer go-to belt. I've been needing a cloth belt and this one does the trick. I'd like to try some of the other colors. The only drawback is this belt is one size fits all which means the left over length of the belt loops through 2-3 extra belt loops which is slightly awkward.5
I like the belt and the fact that it doesn't have preset holes, but my waist is 32" and there were at least 6 extra inches on the belt when I wore it.3
this belt just wasn't for me. I don't think it's a bad product, but it's just not one I want to use.3
I suppose I am just confused by this Men In Cities "Essential" item. Don't get me wrong, I was very excited to receive a full size product and the belt is handsome. But I can't help but think that the only reason it is included is that it is a defect. The belt is 51" in length! I have a 28" waist! It wraps around over one and a half times. How is this at all effective or essential to my wardrobe? I hate that I love the design but feel so silly wearing it with the end of the belt around my back! I assume that many of the Birchbox Man users are not that large and have the same problem. Also the belt still has plastic pieces sewn into the leather which I am assuming isn't supposed to be seen... yet again making me think it is defective. I am just very dissappointed that this attractive belt seems unusable in my collection unless i completely cut the leather end off and make it a size that more wearable for almost any Birchbox man!2
I go through belts like no other so i was happy to receive a belt in this months box. Wont buy it because now i own it.5
Always weary of "one size fits all" products. I'm a small guy with a 31" waist, and this belt wraps around me one and a half times. It's way too long to be practical for most guys.
In fact, I took a tape measure to this thing to make sure I wasn't just being crazy. It's a bit over FIFTY inches long (!).
I'm disappointed that I received this in my box when I could've had a product that I would've/could've used or something that actually fit. I double-checked my profile, and my preferred size is set to SMALL. This belt is pretty much extra-large. It was a nice gesture to send a belt that retails for $40, but if I can't use it, it's just taking up space for something I could've enjoyed.
The actual belt is nice, soft, woven, and with good details. It is a bit thin, so if you like wide belts, skip this one. It's basically a really (REALLY) long, thin piece that few guys will find practical to wear.
