Anyone who grew up with Schoolhouse Rock knows that three is a magic number— and this shave cream is no exception: It features a trifecta of protection—macadamia nut oil, glycerin, and soybean oil. The formula, which is free of parabens, fragrances, and petrochemicals, lifts whiskers to give you a close shave while moisturizing and shielding so you end up with smooth, nick-free skin. We’re not the only ones who think it’s great: Men’s Health named the lather Best Shave Cream in 2008.
Product smells like medicine and works no better than that which I can get at Target.1
This shave creame does not provide the best smooth shave experience expected by the brand. It does not equal the quality of less expensive alternatives.1
Didn't do anything extra for my shave and again could only use once so to see any results aside from first use, you would have to buy it. Which I won't be doing since the first use wasn't anything impressive.1
I did not like this particular product, it had a "pleasant" scent, but it dried up very quickly on my face, and I had a very hard time removing it from my razor. I do not see myself spending $23 for this product just because it had a pleasant scent.1
Terrible product. I could really feel the razor dragging across my face with every stroke. And really, could the sample have been any smaller?1
Found this product to be average or below. The texture was ok, but I didn't care for the feel on my skin following the shave. I was able to get a reasonably close shave, but didn't find it more or even as effective as other options that are considerably less expensive. Cannot imagine buying this product in the future.2
This product has an amazing smell to it. Some may find it overpowering but I definitely enjoyed the smell. You can tell there are essential oils in the cream which are great for your skin, especially in the morning. The consistency of this product was not good though :(. It felt more like rubbing bar soap that had come off on my hands across my face.2
This shave cream was ok. But come one Birchbox......I barely got one use out of it... How are we supposed to decide whether we like something based on one use? It did the job, but I don't see the use in spending money on something that I don't see as differentiated.2
Hoping this would be the magic bullet for my shave bumps but no luck. Did not notice anything special, same old same old.2
This product might be fine for some people but if you are the type of person who likes your shave cream to build up to a foam you'll be disappointed.
I had issues with the product clogging up my razor as well, which never happens with a "gel" vs "lotion"
