Anyone who grew up with Schoolhouse Rock knows that three is a magic number— and this shave cream is no exception: It features a trifecta of protection—macadamia nut oil, glycerin, and soybean oil. The formula, which is free of parabens, fragrances, and petrochemicals, lifts whiskers to give you a close shave while moisturizing and shielding so you end up with smooth, nick-free skin. We’re not the only ones who think it’s great: Men’s Health named the lather Best Shave Cream in 2008.
These days there are a great variety of products to make a shave easy with little to no irritation and this product fits the bill.
1. Product goes on easy and a little goes a long way
2. The texture of the product is nice
3. Product provides a smooth, comfortable shave even if you let the beard get a little longer over the weekend.
The not so good:
1. Product works better with fingers than a shave brush, which would not be my preference.
2. There are more fragrant products on the market, but that is not a key element.
Overall, this is well worth the time and money.
Jack Black is awesome. I haven't had one of their products yet that I haven't liked. That being said, I specifically left the shaving products box unchecked in my profile because I already have literally a years worth of shaving products that I haven't used, including a full size jack black shaving lather. Thanks Birchbox for blatantly ignoring my profile, I love getting even more of something that I already have too much of.5
I find this to be a really good shaving cream, that shaves smooth, and finished silky soft. I also found it to be much better than the Kiehl's shaving cream.5
It goes on thick for that extra protection needed for sensitive skin. Great product!5
I've switched in and out between this shaving cream and many others and keep coming back to this. Lathers perfectly, doesn't dry out before you finishing shaving and protects from razor burn. Gives a great shave when used with a brush and a safety razor.5
Works very well, easy to lather and no nicks or cuts.4
This may be marketed for men, but it works for everyone. I have been using Supreme Cream for a year now, and I honestly think it gives me a closer shave. My legs always feel super smooth after I shave, and I don't get many ingrown hairs or razor burn anymore. This jar can last a pretty long time depending on how you use it. I used one jar on my legs for almost a year. I'd say it's well worth the money. Also, a little of this cream goes a long way. It's really thick, but when it hits wet skin, it thins out and coats a fairly large surface. The only thing it doesn't do is help your skin retain moisture. I'd still follow with an aftershave or moisturizer.4
smells great. i still prefer art of shaving brand as it lathers better with a brush. second best shaving product4
I love getting good shaving creams in my Birchbox, and this is one of my favorites. I would definitely use this on a regular basis. It works super well and makes for a nice clean shave.4
I really like JB's products so I might be biased. This cream is simple to use by design. Can be lathered up with a brush or just applied to face. This stuff is very akin to Art of Shaving's cream. More natural ingredients though and actually has a great smell. Give it a try!4
