There’s something so liberating about going sockless—until your feet start sweating. And while powders and foot deodorants will absorb some of the perspiration and odor, there’s no way to fully replace the myriad benefits of a sock without actually wearing one. Here’s the ultimate solution: no-show socks, which give the appearance of bare feet without the smelly side effects.
Wore them for the first time and was disappointed. The sock on my left foot kept coming off so I had to kept taking off my shoe to pull back the sock I did this about 10 times wearing them for about 6 hours. The right sock was fine. Will wash them and see if anything changes. Wish this worked better.2
once i figured out the right way to put these on, i have to admit, these are pretty handy.
they have a rubber inside that sticks to your heal so it doesn't slide off. never had a problem after that.
and now that it's chuck taylor low-top season, these will get more usage.
After two wearings and two washings, the silicone heel grips are nearly useless, I've had to take my shoes off twice today to pull the heels up on the socks, and at one point contemplated either throwing my shoes or the socks across the room to help alleviate the issue. If I were just wearing socks this would not be a problem, but sadly modern standards of acceptable dress in the U.S. require shirt, shoes, and everything else is really optional. Silly really that places don't require pants.
Seriously. how many times have you seen "pants required" on a store door? Sure, I get it, it's a law (in most U.S. states) but this is silly.
Comparing these to the MS&Co. Loafer Socks (v 1.0, without heel grips) they perform about the same. I can say the fabric has a better feel than the MS&Co. socks, however, it seems too elastic and could do to be more resilient after washing.
i'm not a loafer wearing man and these do not stay on great, they slip off my heels after a few steps.3
It might be my fault for having large feet, but because of this the socks do not stay on for more than ten steps. I was truly hoping that these socks were going to be perfect for summer, but the sock needs to be fixed so that it stays up on the heel.3
I was worried that these would completely lose form after going through the wash but I've washed them a few times now and they're still doing their job. If my feet were any bigger though it might be an issue(I'm a 10.5)4
Which is how it's supposed to work..but.you know, some scenario will come up and you'll feel silly about having such a silly looking almost-a-sock on your feet. But their ad pitch is spot-on: everybody's feet sweat. So if you're going to try the no-sock look, these are what you need. Glad I got them in my birchbox because I might not have brought myself to buy them. But now I can do the no-sock look thing.3
Overall they are ok. Comfortable and cool and stay on with most shoes but they sometimes slip off of heel.3
I think my feet are just too big for these socks. I wear a size 15 and when I tried wearing these they just keep falling off my heel which is unfortunate since they seem to be well made socks and definitely give you a sockless look when wearing loafers.3
Socks are socks. They fit well, and didn't show over my shoes. They are soft and made well. Will probably get a handful of uses out of them before they go to the trash, like most socks.3
