There’s something so liberating about going sockless—until your feet start sweating. And while powders and foot deodorants will absorb some of the perspiration and odor, there’s no way to fully replace the myriad benefits of a sock without actually wearing one. Here’s the ultimate solution: no-show socks, which give the appearance of bare feet without the smelly side effects.
I started by not liking these. Then I liked them. But I ended up not liking them. Let me explain:
So upon arrival of my tiny socks, my first thought was, "I'll never use these." But I wear loafers and no socks all the time. I should be interested. In fact, I was wearing loafers the day they arrived. I gave the socks a try right away. I immediately understood the purpose. They seemed comfortable. More comfortable than just my shoes. Ok, maybe my first thoughts were wrong. These are comfortable. Definitely more comfortable than loafers, alone. Fast forward to the next attempt to wear: the socks spent most of the day bunched up in the toe of my shoe. No matter how I adjusted, they would not stay on my heels. Maybe I was right, originally, albeit for the wrong reason.
I wore these socks several times and several times while wearing them I had to stop and readjust them in my shoe. Would not buy them again. It was a great idea though.2
...and by extended use I mean about four times a pair I, I find that these socks are rather useless when paired with shoes. When walking around the house they're fairly nice, the material soft and comfortable enough, but the moment I have to put a shoe on it takes no more than a walk down the stairs and out the door before I have to pull them back again. The entire thing feels like it's slipping off constantly even when worn without shoes as well, even if it's not, so I can't imagine why I'd keep these. Overall? Not that great. Perhaps if they were more specific on sizes than 'one size fits all' they might have some slightly better luck. I only wear a 9.5 to a 10 and stretching these over my feet I felt like I might tear them.2
like many others have reported, these are great for the no-show aspect and for the comfort but they start slipping off every few minutes after about an hour.2
I like the fabric feel and the concept of a no show sock for loafers or even tennis shoes but I have to say I am disappointed with these socks. Minutes after putting them on they slip off my heel even with the little grabbers. I have worn them with different shoes and even without shoes around the house and they inevitably slip off my heel. Not impressed by these socks I will stick with my Hanes no-show below the ankle socks.2
I tried to use this with some dress shoes and then with my tennis shoes - but found out I have no use nor did I enjoy putting them on. They really didn't move much, but not my cup of tea.2
The heel portion of the socks kept coming off my feet when I walking.2
I tried these socks but even with the rubber nubs, they kept sliding down and weren't secure. Not a great catch for me.2
They are comfortable but fall off when I wear them. Conceptually they are great, in practice, not so.2
The material is very comfortable, but these socks are very low cut. If I were to wear leather shoes, the shoes would uncomfortably rub against my ankles and the sides of my feet. Also, the cut of the opening looks feminine somehow. It's cuts straight across the top of my foot kind of like the cut of a ballet slipper.2
