From last-minute trips to late-night drinks, a busy schedule can wreak havoc on your skin care routine. Thankfully, these oil-free towelettes are designed to pick up the slack, providing a portable source of cleansing and exfoliation when your sink and bathroom shelf are out of reach. In fact, with their natural, biodegradable ingredients, you don’t even need a trashcan.
I tried this product on a few separate occasions after purchasing, and each time my skin began to burn with contact. I am not sure what ingredient caused the burning sensation, but I would not generally describe my skin as sensitive. I have never experienced anything like this before.1
I normally use Neutrogena Makeup Removing Wipes. I thought I'd give this product a try since it had good reviews. It smelled sort of like cucumber, but it felt like there was a slightly sticky residue left on my face after using it. Not a fan.1
I was excited to try this, but little did I know that it would cause my skin to react so badly. Less then a minute after starting to use the towelette my skin started turning red, and I got a burning sensation wherever I used the towelette. I am disappointed, but it had a nice fresh scent.1
I didnt like these towelettes. The cucumber scent really was not refreshing or cleansing. I feel like it just smelled weird after using them and left my skin feeling unclean1
Maybe I'm just not smart enough to understand this product. But I thought it left my skin feeling sticky and the smell was almost enough to make me nauseous.
I tried one, gagged, threw it away and then washed my face.
My face turned bright red and was BURNING!! I do not have sensitive skin and have never had a reaction to anything. I know that doesn't mean much, but I was freaked out when it happened and did some research. Turns out there are hundreds of reviews out there from people who have experienced the same reaction, so if you do try it, be careful! It was still red when I woke up and while the intense burn only last for about 30 minutes my face felt sore and sensitive for the beginning half of the following day.1
So I used these several times and they worked great for removing makeup with no problem. But the past few times, I've gotten an awful red reaction and my face was burning. I had to wash my skin with a gentle cleaner and put some sensitive skin lotion on it. Lasted about 30 minutes. Says hypoallergenic, but you could see the spots where the wipe touched my face as those were beet red. Will not purchase again.1
I don't think that my skin is very sensitive, but I used these for the first time and they made my skin burn and turn red. The same thing happened when I tried the Tomato acne spot treatment, too. I would test these out on a bit of skin before using them all over your face.1
I would recommend that anyone who uses this product first try it out on a small area first.
I wouldn't say I have sensitive skin and I have never reacted to a face cleanser product like this before, but Yes To Cucumbers gave me redness, puffy skin, and irritation for 30 minutes after use.
The reaction persuaded me to toss out these wipes after one use.
These wipes are excellent, providing skin care in a pinch and even not in a pinch and also feeling good and smelling good, so says my wife.
She says so because she uses them, I do not. So while these wipes may be a good idea, I did not appreciate them arriving in the Men's Box.
