Even the most buttoned-up among us have the urge to flash some personality in their wardrobe. Enter: these awesome, fun-colored shoelaces. Perfect for adding a small-but-still-noticeable dash of style and color, these waxed cotton wonders will earn you compliments both in and out of the office.
The shoestrings were broken in after the first two wears, and they are just the right touch to get some added attention or compliment by bringing a pair of shoes to life in a new way.4
I bought these in 'Much Brighter' because they appeared, well, much brighter than other blue laces I'd seen. My girlfriend is a big fan of colored laces and has quite a few pair, but the electric/royal blue is a stand-out from anything else in her collection, and seemed like a perfect stocking stuffer. Unfortunately the bright color is all editing. The laces are between royal and navy blue- a pretty standard blue dress lace. Quality is not particularly impressive, and I've purchased better for a couple bucks cheaper in the men's section of our local luxury department store.
One final gripe- I bought both these and a pair of boot laces (both were off-color) and despite being sealed in plastic bags, the black label/wrapping was kind of beaten up on both- not great gifting material. I'm attempting to return these now.
These are so cute and I was really looking forward to adding some zing to my shoes, but was surprised to find these laces too short for my standard-sized shoes. My own fault, since the length is clearly stated in the description. Determine the length you need before you order!2
Literally just purchased a set of 10 dif. colors from johnston & Murphy for a much more realistic price. The laces are nice, but I got pink and will not have a use for this color.4
I received these in my December box. I was actually quite excited, because I have needed a new pair of laces for my chukkas lately. I got the green ones, and thought they were pretty cool. After about fifteen minutes with them in my boots, however, they begin to un-tie themselves. I will notice my shoes coming loose, and then realize they are completely undone. I have been double knotting them lately, which works, but I'm none to please with these laces...1
What exactly am I going to do with a set of orange shoelaces? Halloween has passed, so what other occasion should I look forward to swapping my regular laces out for these 'eye-catching' threaders??
Seriously, my wife paid good money for my gift subscription and this is what I find in my box? Went straight in the trash, what a waste! :(
These added a change of color to my boots. They certainly work as they should.3
Seem like a good pair of laces but time will tell all3
These laces are of great quality but for my boots they are either too short or too long.. I hate to cut them to make them fit but that may be what I have to do..3
Got the blue/grey laces in my box this month. The quality of the laces themselves seems quite high, and they are nice looking, but I get the feeling the aglets are going to wear out pretty quickly. When I am looking at high-quality laces, I expect something better than a standard plastic aglet that will quickly split, and I suspect I'm not getting that here.
I'm also not a huge fan of colored laces in general, but I can't really hold that against anybody.
