Even the most buttoned-up among us have the urge to flash some personality in their wardrobe. Enter this awesome hat trick of fun-colored shoelaces. Perfect for adding small-but-still-noticeable dashes of style and color, these waxed cotton wonders will earn you compliments both in and out of the office.
Bought these to replace some laces on a pair of work shoes. I loved the way the waxed laced adhered to themselves and kept my laces tight during the day. I would have rated them higher, but the wax did wear off after several months, and the laces began to loose their "grip".3
These are good solid shoe laces, but besides the color nothing about them stands out. I've had some issue with keeping them tied at first, but double knots worked until they got worn in and tie stronger now. Probably won't replace them with the same when they wear out, but they are a nice bit of flair while they last.3
I usually reserve this to switch into my dress shoes in the Spring. Laces are a little long if you only have four eyelets though.4
These shoelaces are perfect for matching with my favorite color ties. They are great quality and look really sharp on black or brown shoes.5
Nice surprise to find these in my monthly box, and I promptly replaced the laces in my normal work shoes. Boy do they garner attention! No complaints about being too loud (orange laces on black shoes!) but lots of comments about how cool and different they look.
Works for me!
I can't say I was in the market to find colorful shoelaces but after trying out the pink ones in my birchbox (very much a style risk) and got some compliments on them I decided to keep it going.
The orange and blue ones I've used with my grey dress shoes - both have looked pretty good. Haven't used the green ones yet.
For October I switched the orange ones out for my black wingtips for a bit of a more fun look.
If you're looking for a subtle way to be unique, especially in a corporate environment where khakis and button downs/polos are the norm, these will do the trick.
Its a very bright shoe lace and it grabs attention. Its very odd for me to have a conversation starter that is a shoe lace. I like it. It gets the job done and gets me noticed.4
