Were suckers for a minty, tingly shampoo—it gives us the feeling that something is happening. And in the case of this protein-enriched shampoo, something really is happening: This pearlescent formula eradicates accumulated grime (thanks to tea tree oil), ups your strands' elasticity and strength (courtesy of oat proteins and amino acids), and promotes hair growth (cheers, cinnamon bark extract).
This shampoo is not good for thick curly hair. It's not very slippery, so it's hard to lather and massage into hair and scalp. There is not much of a fragrance, I'd actually prefer a tiny bit more aroma. It also feels very strong, and may be drying out my hair. The strength/feel reminds me of Neutrogena.2
The smell of this stuff is awesome and with the minty tingle it is a great shampoo. Only problem I see, Is if I go a little heavy on product (Hue Pomade) it takes two washes.4
The shampoo is a little strong. When you apply it, your hair will feel rough and will tangle. Not to worry it's just stripping your hair of oils and hair product . It has a minty smell and feel. You will feel a little tingle. You must use conditioner after using this shampoo. Be careful not to use too much.5
It may sound weird but your hair does feel stronger after the use of the shampoo. It smells great and it works great. What more could you ask for?5
Smells great and lathers nicely, just as good as any, but the smell is very subtle and not overdone. i wish you could buy a larger size though.5
This has now become my daily driver for shampoos. I cleans my hair (short) and strips most of the oils and grime away. I bought this without the daily conditioner and now wish I had. It gets your hair THAT clean, it sometimes needs a boost afterwards. I love the scent - not too minty, but not too mild. It does have a tingle, which I enjoy - but doesn't feel like you are loosing parts of your scalp (which other VERY minty/tea tree products do).5
I ordered this shampoo to mix it up a bit. I'm not really wild about it. It tingles as it cleans. I probably won't order this one again. Nice pump, bottle though. Cuts down on waste in the shower.3
I have had a tooth and nail fight with scalp issues for my entire adult life. Over the course of the last 10 years, I feel like I have tested, used and cursed like a sailor at every dry scalp treatment shampoo on the market. Baxter's Daily Protein Shampoo is one of the best, and the only one I now use. The "Minty Tingle" is pleasant and not bothersome, this shampoo does not come close to the "Oh my God!, oh my God!, I just dumped kerosene on my head like some of the full "Tea Tree" products do. A conditioner is a must with this product as it gets your hair REALLY clean, pulls most of the oils with it, so a little something for the fur to get that nice soft and clean feelings is nice. I pair it with their Daily Conditioner, works well. The benefits of the "Protein" are slow on the results uptake. It took me about a week of use before I could attribute protein benefits. Good product, highly recommended for anyone looking for a good scalp treatment, pleasant scent (you don't end up smelling like the men's body spray isle at the store) Wife digs the smell of it, and lets face it anything that gets the wife closer is a worth wile investment.5
Ive tried this shampoo for about a week and it works very well. It leaves my hair feeling clean and removes the excess gunk from the products I use on a daily basis. I really like the smell and tingly sensation it gives on the scalp. Definitely a product I would re-buy.5
This was in my boyfriends Men's Birchbox and he absolutely loved it. He said it made his head tingle, it's better than any store bought shampoo.4
