If you seek industrial-strength hold without the look of a Ken doll, consider this highly competent pomade. A combination of clay and beeswax deliver all-day hold and a matte finish, while fennel, lemon peel, and sage oils give it a fresh, herby scent. The gritty balm will never leave neither oily sheen nor a single strand out of place.
I have already received this sample in a previous box so that was a disappointment. Also I am not a fan of the dough like texture or smell . This is not my first choice.1
This pomade is terrible. Not a big fan of clay based products to begin with but gave it a try. My hair (which is very easy to style and manipulate) would not come close to staying styled for more than 30 minutes and it took 2 showers to fully wash this product out of my hair. Would absolutely stay away from this product and would even recommend staying away from all clay based products and stick with water based.1
Product smells good and holds ok but is hard to work and balls up too much.2
It doesn't work well when you have very thick hair. Would take a lot to work and doesn't give the texture I desire.2
It's a little too sticky for my taste. It would work well for shorter hairstyles.2
When I received February's box and saw Baxter's Clay Pomade I was excited to use it. I have a wide range of Baxter products, though mostly their facial based products. I'm not one to use a small amount of product as my hair is thick and, at the time, longer than usual. The pomade barely held my hair together and by the end of the night it was as if I hadn't put it in my hair at all.2
Very hard to use. Very thick. My husband didn't like this at all.3
Nothing too exciting here... The pomade smells fine and provides hold.3
This is a nice product and kept my hair in place. I don't think I would purchase it but I liked the sample.3
This product is ok. I just don't use hair products very often3
