y'all... I know its painful to spend $88 on some wipes. BUT I am telling you its worth it. As a scientist, I did a significant amount of research into the dermatological benefits of alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs, which include glycolic acid, lactic acid, and citric acid) and beta hydroxy acids (BHAs, which includes salicylic acid, a common acne treatment). AHAs encourage keratinization (meaning the integrity of your skin is boosted and wrinkles are reduced) by rebuilding the stratum corneum which is the outer layer of your skin that protects from UV damage, dehydration, etc. BHAs can penetrate the sebaceous oils on your face as well as bust through dead skin cells (both oils and skin are lipids (fats), BHAs are lipophilic ("fat loving"), meaning they can get much deeper into your pores/skin). BHAs also encourage cell turnover and are antibacterial, meaning it helps your skin clear out the gunk and bugs causing the acne and helps your skin to heal the "wound" of a blemish! This cell turnover also helps fight wrinkles and age/sunspots/scars!
