For a product that’s all about flexible shaping, gel can be very cut-and-dried—so dry, in fact, that things get flaky once you attempt a restyle. Grooming Lounge’s expert team of barbers and grooming geeks formulated this gel to give precise control rather than a death grip. It goes on light while giving a firm but flexible hold.
I honestly didn't even know hair gel was still made until this arrived in my Birchbox. I don't think I've used hair gel since around 1996, along with the rest of the civilized men in America. Or maybe I'm wrong.1
I have thick, curly hair. It takes a lot to make it do anything. And this gel just didn't cut it. It might work on other hair types, but for me, it did nothing. I actually tossed it in the trash after 2 uses.1
I have thick wavy hair and this is not the product for me. The hold is not strong enough. May be good if you have thinner or straight hair. I need something that can hold better.1
not a huge fan of hair gel, prefer using a pomade on my hair2
My hair is very thick, and this just didn't cut it for me.2
Has good hold but after drying flakes like dandruff. Sticking to Pomade.2
This gel may work well with certain hairstyles, but being used to waxes and pastes, this just feels flimsy and watery. Additionally, as normally the case with gels, it's hard to create a natural look, and the gel has a tendency to create hardened strands when it dries.2
Gives hair that wet look that many guys like. I use a fiber type product in my own hair that is stiff, but not wet looking. If you are into Gel - try this out!3
The gel is good but if you're looking for the non-wet look this isn't for you. Smells and feels good otherwise3
I think its better than the average gel, however its not nearly as good (for me) as a fiber product. It holds up hair but gives me that shine that I dislike.3
