Style is all about the details, so even though those plastic stays that come with your dress shirts may get the job done most of the time, why risk the dreaded collar curl? These revolutionary stays use magnets to firmly keep you looking sharp, no matter what the day may bring.
Did not like. Did not use.
You have to have a collar with a slip.
They seem like they would work well, but I rarely would have an occasion to use them.2
I just thought my plastic ones work jut fine. Don't believe in paying twenty bucks for a product like this.2
I really like the structure the magnets give to my shirts, but the magnets included started to within the first week. I've since tossed those and gotten some generic neo-dymium magnets to use with the metal stays and they work great (and haven't had the chipping problem). I recomend the concept, but you can put it together better and for less money on your own.2
I like the idea, but the execution didn't really work for my shirts. The prongs were a little too long for most of my shirts, so they're just hard to use. The magnets are very strong, so I wouldn't have any worries on that end if they actually fit my shirts. Kind of disappointing, as they look great.2
When I opened my box, I was so excited by these stay; I am constantly losing plastic stays on business trips or tumble drying them so they become brittle. I also prefer button-down collars so the magnet part of these made me feel like I was buttoned-down without being actually buttoned down. Win-win. However, within 5 hours of wearing these, I realized I had lost one of the magnets and, as a consequence, the best part of this product is gone. I guess I do have metal stays now and that's cool but the magnets were the best part! Great product but wish they weren't so easy to lose (I realize it may be that i am clumsy but I don't think that's the case; I think it may have been the seatbelt in the car that maybe separated them)2
Opened up the package yesterday and tried them out. They are really neat and can replace all the little plastic bent collar stays hanging around my bedroom. I really like these but there was a drawback: it was kind of awkward to try and tie a tie with them on and it was also awkward to try and affix the magnet after tying the knot. But I do recommend them, even though they are somewhat useless to me now because one of the magnets fell off at the end of the day. I was really sad about that.2
This is a great product. It does exactly what it should.2
I like these collar stays a lot, they're nice and stiff (it's right in the name!) and when you use the magnets you can position your collar in a fixed position so it's not flopping around all day.
The only thing I don't like, and unfortunately this is just a drawback of neodynium magnets, is that if you're not careful when you go to put them away, the two magnets will snap together. If they hit just wrong the nickel finish on them will crack and flake away.
The idea behind this product is very unique and I can see where some would like it just for that, but it is just not for me.3
