Once upon a time boutonnieres were de rigueur, but these days you don’t see many beyond high school prom. Perhaps it’s because purchasing (or plucking) a flower before an evening out feels a little odd. Instead, opt for one of these fabric lapel flowers. Meant for everyday use as well as special occasions, these made-in-New York accessories run the gamut from small and subtle to look-at-me loud.
This is an interesting accessory that one may use from time to time.3
Cool idea, Just wish you could choose the sample color.
I can't really try it on until I get a matching tie.
but, I can't wait.
I'm pretty traditional when it comes to wearing suits and never cared to have an accent like this product. That being said, I wore it once with a grey sport coat and, while I got a few interesting looks, I had more people come up to comment on it. It ended up being a great conversation starter. Not something I would use all of the time, but an easy way to stand out in a sea full of men wearing the same boring thing.3
I got one of these in my July box. It would work fine and last awhile if I wanted a flower on my suits at all. Its just not my thing.3
In my box this month I received the blue lapel flower, and in looking at the other colors I think I lucked out there. I definitely wouldn't wear it at the office everyday. My girlfriend loved dark blue dresses, so this will be a nice touch to my jacket to compliment her more than anything.3
This seems like a great idea, but maybe just a little too feminine for me. My fiance however loved it, so I'll probably wear it a time or two - ha.2
fun product that will definitely dress down a sport coat/suit, but too casual for me.2
Not really my thing. Personally can't wear this with a suit , though it'd be great for the casual/artsy type.2
I rarely have the occasion to wear a suit so was disappointed to get this, less because of what it is, and more because I won't use it. Definitely would add a dash of whimsy to a traditional suit but the color of my sample would necessitate a matchy-matchy tie so still just a smaller subset of already rare suit-wearing occasions. A little too dandy-ish for me. Overall not my thing.2
Can't say I'm impressed with this lapel. Seems a bit rough around the edges. Good idea, poor execution.2
